to fix the logic board
and prepare for upgrading.
Goal with this intel machine
will be to get my old website
read on the Mac.

O.K., the Imac is in the shop.
When to the ROOTS SUSTAINABLE meeting
at O.B. PEOPLE's FOOD STORE at 4:00 PM.
That was very healing. I am so glad I went.
I hung out around the store and had a nice
chat with CARA, MATT, and there were a lot of
smiling faces. I was very inspired about bringing
out my poetry. I showed the new ebook format to
MATT. TONI TORQUATO came by. I haven't seen
her in a number of years. We were once engaged.
She does ceremony work, and her wedding business
is call ALL HEARTS WEDDINGS.
That felt really good spending time.
I got to give and receive some hugs.
Very nice diversion from all the intense computer
work.
See putting out my poems in ebooks
and reading one at LA MILPA OPEN HOUSE.
Oh, I forgot to get the card of the woman
who is putting together a show of Time-Warner.
More later. Rejuvenated my energy
being with the food community.

to see mail on this new G4 I have
to enter incoming mail server, etc.
I do not want to take time for that now.
I am not sure if I can read mail on a number
of computers.

G4 is bringing up anxiety.

I can see my Quicken 7 on the G4.
I am writing on the temp G4 to replace
the old G4's and the Performa 6200 CD.
I have been transfering files and obcoming
obstacles all day.
What next?
Make sure mail in working on this G4
and Iphoto...
That should do it!!!!
Then take Imac in to CRYWOLF.
I am in good shape to get rid of Performa as well.
Transitions always bring up anxiety for me.

ROCSTOR to SIMPLE DRIVE
so I can view it when the IMAC
is in th shop.
Techno issues showing up while copying....
Having difficulty finding IPHOTO...
This may be due to copying an additional
copy in the finder from Applications.

How to back up and view email on the G4.
I do not want to be without that program
while the Imac is in the shop.

Location of data on IMAC a big issue
this morning.
Can I get rid of the Performa 6200 CD
today?
Do I have to?
This will be my last way to upload old
disks.
Should I check them first to make sure
I have the data?
Do I need this old data?
Bunch of time having ZIP drive
issues.
It is now 9:25 AM.
Anxiety effecting bowel.
WHERE IS MY CURRENT QUICKEN?
I am having difficulty finding it on the new Imac.
I want to make sure this is secured
on the SIMPLE DRIVE before I turn in the IMAC.
How do I find my current Quicken
on the IMAC so I can transfer it to the
G4 I will be using while Imac is getting repairs?

Depressing dream...
old relationship.
I do not want to hold on to that
relationship any longer.
Takes courage.
Better get out of bed.
Went to bed feeling defeating
about dynamics at the house.
Surrendered to T.V. until
late after midnight.
Concerns me:
I was so very happy last
Tuesday when I went into PCOM.
FM: One bad experience.
Someone came for tomatoes.
They were for Russia. They did not
want to pay the price, $4.00 a lb.
We had a new sign up.
Support Your Local Farmers.
I like that the sign said Farmer (s).
That was kind and inclusive.
They they friendly, and we chatted,
but then, the conversation turned
felt negative. I told them I would give them
a deal. They loaded up bags.
They anticipated paying $1.00 a pound.
I was willing to give them $3.50.
They said they could get them at WHOLE FOODS
for $2.00 a lb.
They did not understand the conversation
about local our supporting local farming.
Maybe that is the unsaid conversation at home too.
It costs more than numbers want to pay. There
is a sense of righeousness from one that
always feels like a complaint that gets under my skin.
I need to lift my spirits.

I have been putting all my energy
into coming out of the swamp with the
computers--a whole lot of energy into this.
Can I thank myself for the work?
GOAL TODAY,
MONDAY OCTOBER 12, 09
Complete simple transfer of old
APPS from 9.0 to new SIMPLE DRIVE.
Then, make sure the Iphoto App is on
the SIMPLE DRIVE.
The Iphoto app was not working on the
G4 I bought the other day.
Get that to work.
I feel I also have enough of the materials
from the old broken G4's on the SImple Drive now.
That is progress.

Wow! Take the two G4's down to
CRYWOLF as well, and let them show me
how to clear the harddrives.
Dispose of these as well.
Parts? P would sell the parts, I'll bet
but is this worth the time.
I better get out of this swamp as soon as
possible and start building the new relationships
with the computers....as well as people.

Where is it? I was happy that I found it
last night. Cannot see it.
