Why I am fasting

Why I am fastng.

Sorry I didn't post more info in original blog entry. As you might know I am suffering from multiple scerlosis, 26 year old male. I was diagnosed 3 years ago, at age 23. My symptoms were numbness in my right hand and some tingling in both feet. The doctor said that I needed to get a second opinion plus additional tests, but i didnt listen. So for 3 years I have been dealing with MS without meds, crazy i know, but i think i was in denial ,and financial reasons. During those 3 years I was smoking,and eating very bad. My MS symptoms however didn't get any worse.

It wasn't till about a month ago that I had a flare up. I work in the tax field, 2 weeks before april 15 I began having trouble walking, I believe caused by the stress. I could not walk more than 20 feet without sitting down. This scared me to the hospital where they took a second MRI and confirmed MS. Because I don't insurance the doctor suggested I give trial medication a try. Because I'm a christian I believe God has given the body the ability to heal itself through fasting. It wasn't until the flare up that I now take fasting seriously.

So I went on the web and researched every bit of information about fasting I could. I was lead to this website and have been lurking since day 17 of my water fast. Thats when I decided to blog my progress.
