Blog: Can I Master Cleanse?! Watch and find out
by longlifeseeker

Day 5...eh, it's okay (11:57 AM)

Day five and some food for thought (the only food I can have)

Well it's day 5 (or day 2...or whatever) and let me confess something to you, I think I am going to go longer than 10 days. I know, I'm struggling as is; but I keep hearing, "get over your first three days and the rest is a breeze, so that's what I'm hoping happens here. Let me explain my new bout of enthusiasm.

Whilst purusing youtube (instead of working) I found one of my favorite bloggers talking about her Master Cleanse and she mentioned a dynamic young man you had went 32 days...that's right 32 days on this thing! I sat there and watched every single video about him and became so inspired. He's just a regular guy and he decided to go 32 days for himself. some of his words really resontaed with me, but one affirmation stuck in my mind: "Don't you love yourself enough to do this for yourself?" he said on day like...15. ANd it clicked. I DO LOVE MYSELF. I love myself enough to buy way overpriced hair products, makeup and facial cleansers to keep me looking pretty; the best perfumes and bath soaps to keep my smelling good (not to mention that damn Suave deodarant that's like 10 bucks because it feels like silk under my arms) and overpriced designer clothes, bags and (oversized) glasses. Why can't I treat my body with the same respect?

I remember this guy (who I hated for other reasons besides the one I'm about to relate) who hated fat people, I mean his mom was overweight and he could not stand to look at her (sad, huh?) and during our senior year of highschool, I finally aksed him why he felt so strongly and he said (not his exact words, but bear with me): God gave us one body and I think fat people take theirs for granted and eat all that food and they can't respect themselves if they let themselves get fat like that." Now I don't completely agree with this prejudice jerk-off, not everybody is fat by choice. My own mother was obese for 15 years and just found out within the last two years that she actually had a thyroid that was running at the speed of a snail. Once properly medicated she lost like 100 pounds. But I did take one thing from it: if you love yourself, why would you put yourself through the health risks and unhappiness of being fat? Just a thought.

Until next time...Ciao Bella
