I am always reluctant to talk about this, but I thought I should mention it.
I don't believe in "book" religions, I follow no code, other than what's in my head. However a long while back I did reach what may be called a "bottom" in life. In fact it was a rock bottom, you couldn't go any lower. I wanted truth. I thought I knew what truth was. I thought it was like Father Christmas. I found truth, in an instant. I was wrong.
The experience was like this
I have had many years to think about that moment in the 1970s.
R D Laing described similar experiences as like "something soft being dropped into a bag of nails". I am not sure about that.
What I do think is that we are actually VERY responsible for our destiny. And let's not make any mistakes here, I am not saying you will go to hell and all that crap if you aren't a good boy / girl.
I think we are much more closer to the "creator" than you could possibly imagine.
