day 3 ...a little better, and a huge decision
day three, changes
Date: 12/8/2008 12:31:20 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 2026 times Ok, this morning like about 7am, I think I hit rock bottom. I was so sore and nauseated that all I could do was whimper and cry, everytime i had to get up and go to the bathroom, was hell. I feel sorry for my poor husband, who just laid there feeling completely useless, as nothing he could do would help me.
But then I fell asleep. I woke up about 1pm (yah, i know, well, i was up all night suffering) and surprisingly I felt good, better i would say, not good, but I wasnt nauseated. I weighed myself and to my delight I had dropped 2.5 kilos, or 5 pounds. I started at 77 kilos (170 lbs) and currently I weigh 74.5 (164lbs) so that's 6 pounds down at the beginning of day 3. That was very inspiring.
I must however confess that after a lot of researching, I have decided to switch to an all water fast to a water-juice fast. I have read that its actually BETTER if you want to 1) detox your body without feeling such terrible side effects, 2) lose weight, 3) keep that weight off, 4) stick to it and maintain the fast for longer. So I prepared myself the most delicious thing I think i have ever tasted (well in the last 2 days that is. lol): Strawberry banana orange smoothie, no sugar added, just fresh fruit and ice. I have to tell you, my taste buds were dancing. Later i read that i shouldnt eat bananas nor oranges, dont know why, but i'll go to the supermarket and buy alternatives. So i'll still have my 2 liter water intake but to calm my cravings i'll add 3 glasses of fresh juice. We will see how that works.
Good news is that, even though i still crave that whopper, the craving isnt near as strong. My head doesnt ache so much, but i report bad pain in my left leg. Probably from lack of mobility
thanks to my one supporter. I hope to get more of those comments coming. they really help.
tonight i will have an update.
cheers
