Day 2
That wasn't so bad...
Date: 11/2/2008 12:40:44 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 2054 times It is the morning after the first day of my juicing fast and I must say that wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I don't know if this actually technically would be a juicing fast since there is soup involved that is cooked...but there is absolutely no chewing allowed, everything has to be drinkable. This is my routine:
*drink hot green tea apon awakening (no milk, cream, or sugar!)
*drink 1 cup of water with Antioxidant Berry Drink (I use Berry Splash Energizing Mixed Berry Drink Mix)
*drink 1 cup of water with morning dose of colon cleanse formula (I use Original CleansSMART)
I then brush my skin and take a hot/cold alternating shower. I'm using natural soaps, shampoos, and fluoride-free toothpaste. (Also, all of the water I'm drinking is distilled, but I can't do much about the water I bathe in for now)
2 hours later:
*drink 1 cup of water with green drink mixture (I use Kyo-Green Powdered Drink Mix which contains stuff like Young Barley Grass, Young Wheat Grass, Chlorella, etc)
*drink 1 cup of hot green tea
2 hours later:
*drink 1 cup of fresh organic vegetable juice (yesterday I used 5 carrots, 4 collard leaves, 2 parsley sprigs, & 1/4 beet. It didn't taste to terrible besides that slight hint of dirt taste I always taste when I eat vegetables)
*drink 1 cup of water with a digestive enzyme (I use Enzymedica, The Enzyme Experts' "Digest" formula)
2 hours later:
*drink 1 cup of water with green drink mix
*drink drink 1 cup of hot green tea
2 hours later:
*drink 1 cup of water with berry drink
*drink 1 cup of water
I then go for a 20 min-1 hour walk (didn't go yesterday because it was raining)
I brush my skin again then take a bath with Epson salt
1 hour later:
*I eat (more like "lap up") a cup of homemade organic vegetable soup that has been pureed in a blender. (Yesterday I made it out of carrots, cauliflower, green beans, kale, and seasoned with bay leaves, cayenne pepper, cilantro, garlic powder, and parsley. It's not too bad, but has a weird texture. The broth is good, which you're supposed to drink throughout the day but I just mixed it with the soup to make the texture better)
*drink 1 cup of tea
*drink 1 cup of water with digestive enzyme
2 hours later
1 cup of caffeine-free, "sleepy" tea
1 cup of water with nighttime colon cleanse capsules

I was amazed at how "okay" I felt throughout the day. I've never in my life gone a day without eating and usually get very nauseous and moody if I don't. I felt fine, got a little hungry occasionally but it was the stomach grumble kind that was mild and didn't bother me too much. I caught commercials on TV for food and restaurants and it all looked disgusting to me. When I woke up this morning, I felt a little hungry but not that absolute FAMINE feeling I usually get in the morning. I felt a little weak, some body aches, and a slight headache but those have gone away. I haven't had a "BM" yet today. I've been meaning to call to schedule a colonic a week but haven't had time.
So far it's a lot of work, very time consuming, and very hard to explain to people but I think 3 weeks will be very do-able. I'm a little nervous about having to go back to work tomorrow and take some of this stuff with me. I just KNOW I'm going to have to explain this to people who are going to try to convince me to stop but we'll see what happens. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it!
