City Farmers Nursery Uplift

Fall Harvest Yesterday for me at City Farmers Nursery.
It was a Moral Victory. I have not been up to high
in health in the last month. I had a wonderful
fulfilling day in spite of the condition of my
Bowel Health.

It means so much to me,
that even through my health was down yesterday,
I had a remarkable healing day at the Fall Harvest Craft Fair
down at City Farmers Nursery.

The reasons why this was so important
are written in this Blog:

Moral Victory Yesterday:

Friday afternoon about 4:30 PM
after spending two days working out Completions
and Feelings regarding the recent High Holidays experience
with B'nai Horin, I made it down to see my dearest of allies,
Bill Tall, the creator of City Farmers Nursery.

My spirit told me just get down to see Bill.
I was kicking myself in the butt, if that is anatomically
possible most of Friday afternoon.

Saturday was the annual Fall Harvest Craft Fair
at City Farmers Nursery.

Bill had committed to help me at the Pacific Symposium
November 5-10. He offered to bring me down plants to decorate.
I need this very much. I am not running on all four gears right now.
Issues of Bowel Management are Up, UP, UPP!!!!
I am still in a phase of IBS where I am using up rainforests
of Toilet Paper. That can happen to me each Fall and Winter.

Bill is one of the loveliest human beings I know.
He is a generous, kind hearted, and life affirming man,
a nursery man. A plant lover.

He totally appreciates my Art. He lavishes me with praise.
That can be very helping on a day like last Friday when I
was kicking myself down so hard.

I did get down to see Bill. I brought him a greeting card
I had made at Staples on the Hewlett Packard Kiosk.
That Machine and I are becoming friends. It really does
a good job for me. I am finally working out the bugs
of this technology. I believe we can make some beautiful
things together.

The Greeting Card costs $1.50. It was worth so much
to Bill. It was a photo of Bill and his dog Abbey.
Abbey is one of the kindest Soul Dogs around.
When I come in, she recognizes me. It is so nice
to be seen by a dog.

I also brought Bill a roll of Rhimax.
He wanted some to cover the counter.
I am so sorry that Rhimax is out of business.
Hopefully, is there any chance, they will come back?????
It is such a great product....and I have spent more than one year
getting all my designs to work for this durable organic felt paper!!!!
That's another story!!!

So, I made it down to Bill about 30 minues before closing.
My Bowel was still acting out.
I was low energy.

I just felt that if I could be around Bill for a little while,
I could find the spirit to do Saturday.

It is hard to believe, that Bill Tall has only been a person
I have known for little over a year!!!! He is so Big for me
in a deep place inside me that gets filled around him.

Every year for the last 20 he has done this Fall Harvest Craft event,
or something like it.

I have participated twice.
The first time was last Fall.
That was the first time I had visited CIty Farmers Nursery in many,
many years. I had been there once before, about fifteen years ago,
but never fully looked around.

Last fall, I went over there with Angelene.
I am not sure what I had in mind, but it turned out that Bill
was willing to lend me plants for the Pacific Symposium 2007.

In my eyes, a sizeable portion of the plant loving community
I care to know travels through the City Farmers Nursery.
Yesterday, there was a delightful bunch of kids, sweet craft vendors,
and...and...a delightful woman...who caught my eye who happens
to live on site.

Yesterday, they had a shuttle going in...there is a traffic issue
down in that neighborhood, but Bill made the event work for me.
I got one of the few parking spots right in front.

Last year, I made a Slide show for Bill.
It is called A TURTLE WITH NO NAME.
I brought my 20 inch Imac down to Bill's place.

We set it up on the Sales Counter.
It was playing all day. I made that Slideshow
after visiting Bill's place the first time.

Then, again, in the Spring, I overcame my trepidations
to bring my Imac out of the house and down to Bill's.

Yesterday, I really got in a Creative Mood!!!

I had a sense I could Create a Slide Show right on site
of the Day's Activity!!! How Fun!!! What can be more fun
that seeing your own photo in a Slideshow with music!!!
The Ken... features on the 20 inch Imac can made a spectacular
Slideshow. I am starting to get the technology down.

I did not have time to prepare for Saturday.
I first looked at my Imac around 1:30 AM Saturday morning!!!
Paris was out playing in the living room. I had some company
to be up so late, so to speak.

I realized then, I need an extra Imac. I started to look for one
on Ebay. There was one I started to bid on, but I all said and done,
I missed the timing and was outbid.

Being down there with the Imac confirmed how this is a winning
formula for me!

I did not sleep much Friday night-Saturday. I was up a number of hours.
Then, I got up very early with a wonderful Job's Return Dream.
I will explain that more another time....Job's Return Dream.....
It is a dream of Life Fulfillment and Return of Love and Family.

Yesterday, the day of the event was also the day of the Breeders
Cup. I found a way to place a wager online on Go Between,
Peter Vegso's horse. I had that to look forward to....

So this is how Saturday went.

I got there late. I was very tired.
I ate some rice that I rewarmed.
That was it for the day.
I just drank water. I could not afford
an incident of Bowel Management Problem.

There was a water cooler right next to where I had
the Imac set up.

Bill was right there behind the counter, or the other
helpers at City Farmers Nursery. There were kids
marching in all day with tickets to pick up prizes.

At noon, we all went over to the Pumpkin Contest.
Kids had grown pumpkins for prizes.
I took photos. I went back and uploaded them
in a Slideshow format.

All day long, until about 2 pm at least, I was
uploading photos in this slideshow.

I inserted some slides about KEEP the BEET Media Star.
I was showing the slide all day long in increments.
I was getting stokes all day long.

I had just one plant goal....KEEP the BEET...
share the message. I also had paperwork to give out
including the pages that I had improved
as a result of doing the recent High Holidays
with the B;nai Horin Community. I learned
from that experience. I was determined to communicate
the message of KEEP the BEET Media Star,
the World's First Talking BEET PLANT.

ONE POT+ONE PERSON=I'm a GARDENER!
You can grow some of your own FOOD!!!!
Just get a locally grown organic beet...pot it
and grow it. KEEP the BEET. Eat the Greens!!!
You did it!!! You are a Gardener. You are growing
your own food!!!!!! In doing this, you are becoming
a Plant Parent. You will learn the language of plants.

[We are one with our plants. We grow by the same rules
as a plant grows. We both need sun, air, water, good soil...]

So then what happened down at Bill Tall's City Farmers Nursery?????

It was around 2-3 ish.

I had completed the Slideshow.

I went out on a World Tour of the Vendors.

I put KEEP the BEET MEDIA STAR in the Wheelie.

I had time to meet three Vendors, plus share some
joy with Sophia, who lives at Bill's.

This is what I do:

I see a Craft I like.
I appeciate it.
Then, I take a photo of the person and the craft.
Then I show it. Then, I let them know I have created
a slideshow of the day, and I am looking for sponsors.
I ask if they would like to be in the slideshow that is
going to be in a web gallery on the web.

I basically trade for Crafts that I like.
Most of these Vendors were not making too much.
"Horse Trading" as I called it, felt right.
I like doing that kind of business best
when appropriate. This felt right.

So I started to Collect some Crafts.
Each one I had in mind to give as a gift
to my housemates.

I met some really lovely people.
With each I introduced KEEP the BEET Media Star.

I kept going back to the Imac and uploading.

By 4 PM, I had three vendors in the slideshow!!!

That was all I needed to be fulfilled!!!!

At the end of the day, numbers of the visitors
were appreciating the Slideshow.

There is great joy in it.

I got to meet Rene and ....her husband....
he was the shuttle driver...I will be able to get that
email...again...I cannot find it. Rene was very excited
about getting an Olympus 5050C. She and her husband
were raving about the slideshow.

I am happy because I got the Web Gallery Online!
I emailed...and completed, sending out promised emails
to the Vendors that gave me some things.

I have some gifts for my housemates!

I can see making a Calendar.

Most of all, even though I was not feeling up to par,
I still was able to do this event.

Bill said at the end, "Just think, you almost
did not come!"

He was so happy, and I was so happy
with to have Created a Slideshow that was
so appreciated.
