in the Los Angeles area, celebrates its 40th Anniversary November 8 with a Gala night. Co-rabbi
Laura Owens, sharing new Rabbi duties with Rabbi Stan Levy, founder of the Community,

KEEP the BEET Media Star was very moved by her reception at the recent High Holidays where many of the community members have been hearing the Enchanted Garden Message for more than 15 years.
Grow Your Own Food, just one person growing one Beet plant in a pot is all a person needs to gain confidence that they can grow some of their own food, sez KEEP the BEET Media Star.
B'nai Horin has one of the most exciting Jewish Enrichment
Programs for its youth, led by Rina Daly-Goode. KEEP the BEET Media Star
is growing at the Jewish Enrichment Club site at her
home. KEEP the BEET sezs hello to the Kids as they pass by.
Eat the Greens, KEEP the BEET, she sez to every one.

What does it take to learn how to "Speak" Plant, is a frequent question
asked, KEEP the BEET sez, Eat my Greens.KEEP the BEET, is her answer.
Lisa and Daughter Maya added so much to KEEP the BEET's High Holiday Experience.

The Original KEEP THE BEET was grown by Joe Rodriguez Jr.
at Rodriguez Ranch in Escondido.
Joe was calling out for a Moment of Awakening.
He and the Rodriguez family are facing Water Shortage
on the Farm due to restrictions in the amount of water that can be used.
KEEP the BEET felt that if each of us grew a bit of our own food
we could reestablish our connection with growing food and the needs
of our local organic farmers.
Please get the BEET you are growing from a local organic farmer
whenever possible.
In Los Angeles and San Diego County, you can get your beet
from grown by the Rodriguez Family. Pappa Joe, Joe's father,
is these two Farmers' Markets in LA.

You can arrange to join the Family CSA with your friends here.
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Individuals
give the farmer funds for expenses in advance. This helps
the local organic farmers immeasurably. Join a local CSA
whenever possible.
