Letter to The Netherlands
Additional Excerpts from Conversation With a Dutch Friend

There are over twenty states that have made selling raw milk "illegal" here, however people have a an undisputed right to own or share ownership in a cow/herd and then they can lawfully drink their own cow's milk. This new system is working pretty well here! We even have a foundation (Farm-to-Consumer Foundation) devoted to protecting these rights ... Maybe it can become a model for Dutch people to recover their full rights to the foods of their choice. Some of the association members here also work out their own "distribution" so that people don't have to travel individually to the pasture to get their milk. Or people work out sharing getting the milk. So I think associations are worth considering.
Making one's own raw yogurt is also possible! I made a couple batches and loved it! I will probably make some more simply because it is so delicious. Otherwise I prefer the kefir (do you know what that is?) which is many times more loaded with healthy bacteria - which is essential for feeding the intestinal flora - which in turn is an essential foundation for health in several ways including immunity to diseases. So I personally have chosen the more nutrient-dense foods as a way of life based on the findings of Dr. Weston A. Price (and others) who literally went the distance around the world (over the course of a decade) and documented many excellent examples of radiant health among certain native cultures who were "uncontaminated" with the modern foods of commerce; then he published those findings in "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration". The culture he studied that is closest to the Netherlands was in a valley in the Swiss Alps were they essentially lived on cow's milk, butter, cheese, sourdough bread and some local vegetables (when they were seasonally available). These people placed their Spring butter on an alter and placed a candle in it in their gratitude to the creator for the the life-giving power inherent in the butter fat from the cows when feeding on the rapid growing green grasses in the Spring. Dr. Price discovered something in the butter that he called "X factor" that was essential to the radiant health of these people. Only recently have we learned that this "X factor" is Vitamin K-2 and is only produced by animals who eat the rapidly growing green grasses. This is just one of several examples of what grass-fed raw milk has to offer that is not possible from other foods. My mission is to make this kind of information readily available to people in a way that they can understand and be inspired by. A lot of that happens with my DVD ... "
