Raw Milk for Kefir!
I Make Kefir with Virtually All The Raw Milk I Get
Date: 8/3/2008 4:40:16 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 3675 times Next to my love of butter comes my enjoyment of kefir! In fact virtually all of the raw milk I buy is for the purpose of making kefir. I am currently making about a gallon and a three quarters of kefir which yields me about 14 pints of wonderful raw kefir that I enjoy with out adding any sugar (unlike what is typically available commercially)! Those 14 pints last me about nine or ten days. I have kefir most every morning as my breakfast meal and it is mostly what the meal consists of. I also add about a tablespoon of spirilina (or other super green food) and a tablespoon of bee pollen. The bee pollen adds a light sweetness but not at the physical cost of using a sugar. The super green food adds more sustaining nourishment that then lasts me for the better part of the day. Altogether it makes for a rather quick meal that can also be put into a mason jar to go!
