Had no energy.
Had to go back to bed.
Did that.
Then forced myself up to approach another day
of Clearing and Separating the Wheat from the Chaff, so to speak,
the Clutter & Too Much from the Things that Deserve to be finished.
A running person does not finish.
If Life is a race, it is not finished by those who run too fast,
but moreso by those who slow down.
I am looking at materials written over the years
for the New Year.
The way the Jewish Tradition celebrates the New Year
is something I would like to see transmitted to the Secular world.
Every Tribe--Religion--offers something profound to the World
for all of us.
[That is the kind of USA I want, as an aside.
I am looking for a President that has Good Feelings for Many,Many Spiritual Traditons.
That to me is the Essence of why and for what Purpose this Nation was intended.
We are here to Uphold the Unity In Diversity.]
The Jewish Tribe honors the New Year around the time of the Fall Equinox each year.
They proclaim the first ten days, Days of Awe.
The New Year itself is a time for writing a New Life scriipt.
Rosh Hashanah, it is called.
Next Friday night--at the Whole Being Weekend
between 6:30 PM-7:30 PM I will be leading our group
through some of the New Year Prayers as part of
a Universal Shabbat Whole Being Celebration.
We will say words together, Universal in meaning
that call forth Our Whole Being.
The Whole Being Weekend--September 12-14
is close enough to the New Year and Fall Equinox
to honor the Harvest of the Past Year, and to Receive the Seeds
that we will plant this New Year.
We will each receive the gift of Job's Tears,
The Seeds of LIfe Fulfillment that can be used to
Grow A Necklace to praise God,
Plant a Seed, Grow a Whole New World.
KEEP the BEET Media Star,
My Rebbe and Teacher, will be visited the
Whole Being Universal Shabbat.
She is a fully grown beet growing in a pot.
She wants to remind us that we can each grow
some of our own food, beginning with transplanting
a locally grown organic beet and growing it in a pot.
Keep the Beet, she says. Eat the Beet Greens.
Hope to see you at the Whole Being Universal Shabbat
Friday night September 12 6:30 PM-7:30 PM Camp Buckthorn.
___
I have been questioning the language
of so many of my early letters that I have saved.
I see a faulty mind, speaking through unaddressed
Childhood Cracks that keep the Esteem from shining
through Body, Mind, Soul; but then, I find Breakouts
expressed in Uplifting passages that came through the
Crack.
It is through the Crack that we are elevated to
our Soul's Purpose. I know this.
It is in the Crack where we are Scratched
as Rabbi Shlomo Carlbach said. He left the body
in the early 90's.
There are times to address the Crack.
Other times to address our Whole Being,
Our Wholeness.
I am dedicating the writings I will read to this man
who first helped me find solace in Jewish skin,
Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach.
Reading #1:
WHAT I CAN DO TODAY
TO REPAIR THE WORLD
What can I do today to Repair the World?
Get to know where I live,
my beloved planet.
Personally say hello today to Mother Earth
who provides my material needs by God's Grace.
To offer, morning and evening prayers
as I relish with deep respect the Divine substance
provided in blessed holy food that grows from fertile soil.
To recognize today that all natural things on earth
grow from seeds that touch soil, as do I.
To realize that a new Golden Day is dawing
and this New Dawn is mine if I merely let it in.
To realize, God has ordained--I am not alone.
Seeds of other men, women, grandparents;
seeds of possium and fox; seeds of lettuce
and Job's Tears; all these are Seeds of Dreams
yet unborn and in my safekeeping.
From two tiny seeds loving together, I grew.
May I proclaim this moment a New Birthday for the Universe
and for me! What a day of Awe!
Thank God, I'm Awake
to this New Day!
