Blessings to God Who Created Woman
I know. I know.
God is a Goddess too,
but right now I don't want to get into that.
I just want to thank God for Creating Woman.
Going through the Notebooks from the Basement is
not an easy task.
This has not been fun.
Today J.M. Unearthed three boxes full of notebooks.
The one from LH has stopped me in my tracks
the last hour.
I can throw out the flyers, lots of music flyers.
Lots of events we did together. Lots of events
she did herself. She really claimed her Creative Life
during this time, one letter shows. There is so
much thanks. So much appreciation.
Lots of letters too from over a five year period.
We "broke" up twice and stayed friends after a cooling out period.
I wrote two books, one after each breakup. That was before
MY GODDESS PRAYER FOR YOU.
At that time this poem was written, not too many woman used
those words, "I am a Goddess."
During our High Times, she wrote numbers of songs.
The pattern is the same with a lot of the women who have loved me
and I have loved--the stages. In the really fulfilled relationships,
friendship + continues, although the initial form shifts and we
both mature.
I just have to take a Break now
to reflect on what a Lucky
profoundly Lucky Man I am
to have Received so much Love.
LH inspired My Goddess Prayer for You
a year after we chilled out.
Gandarva--a Master Sound Healer--
now in Boston, once said that if I had never
written anything else in my life--
The Goddess Prayer would have been enough.
LH was actually telling me about her new man
when My Goddess Prayer was written.
The part I am feeling now is from reading the letters.
Such intelligence. Such Deep Deep Spiritual work
and commitment. Such a Joyous exurberance for
body and the capacity to Open to Allowing Love to come through.
That is also part of the pattern I have received
again and again.
I could throw away the flyers, but some of these letters
I will save.
Thank God for Creating Woman,
and thank God for Creating Me as a Man
who has been able to appreciate so deeply
a Gift Given.
