The Fast: Day 1
So, the fasting begins.
Date: 6/3/2008 2:02:21 AM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 1233 times Ok, so here I am on the first day of fasting. I've decided to start with a juice fast for a few days to clean myself out, after which I'll be swapping over to a water fast until I meet my goal.
My reason for fasting is simple; I'm overweight and I hate exercising. I don't really trust things like nutrisystem (and they're really expensive). So, what I have planned is a regulated fast until I reach my goal. Once I get to my goal (160 pounds) I'll be breaking the fast and then regulating my food intake from then on so as not to gain too much of the weight back. I'll probably start exercising as well. Don't get me wrong. I like running, however, overweight as I am I don't really have the self-confidence to go out there on the track with all these fit people around me.
So far today all I've consumed is apple juice. I'm not really feeling hungry at all. My metabolism is quite slow though, so I imagine it might take a day or two to catch up with me. I always tend to eat out of boredom, so anytime I stay at home and watch movies or play video games I tend to go through quite a bit of food. I'm hoping to turn a new leaf now and am going to be trying to break my bad habits while cleaning out my body and improving my health. Hopefully, when I finish fasting; I'll have not only reached my goal but will be healthier and motivated to stay healthy.
