Spring Cleanse pt.2
broke cleanse, starting from scratch
Date: 5/12/2008 3:24:10 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 2810 times OK, so I failed at the Spring Cleanse. I went out with co-workers for lunch on Friday, then I ate some of my fiance's birthday cake. I continued on the track and ate more non-raw food, and not much in the fruit/veggie family. I did go to the gym on both Saturday and Sunday, and I also walked around teh Botanic Gardens for about 4 hours on Saturday.
I am starting the cleanse again today. I have been on only tea and water all day, and I am going to wait until tomorrow to eat fruit/veggies again.
I am going to focus on the Cleanse as I did with the juice fast. I know I can do it (because I already did). Maybe it will be easier for me to feast on fruits and veggies if I break with water days every few days.
I am a bit scared of water fasts, as it seems too extreme. I am sure I can handle one day at a time, spread out between fruit/veggie feast days. Plus it will help make the fruit/veggie feast days seem more fulfilling.
On a lighter note, the bridal shop called to let me know my dress was ready. I went Friday night with a friend to pick it up. It fits me very well right now. It will need to be hemmed as well as it needs a bustle. I may need it taken in by the time August rolls around. All of those changes are fine because when I bought the dress I made a deal with the store on a flat fee for alterations!
In addition to actually sticking to teh cleanse, I am going to work on pushing myself more at the gym. My gym partner is fairly lazy and usually pushes herself far less than I do so I find it easy to slack off. Yesterday I went by myself and I worked on my arms plus I did an hour on the treadmill. I usually do an hour and switch the incline up and down, I pushed the incline to 8 (not percent, but whatever the numbers stand for on the machine...? the max is 10).
I will try to keep this updated as I move through the cleanse, I do find that I feel much more productive when I record my thoughts on making it through the day.
