Spring Cleanse
Life after juicing, starting a spring cleanse
Date: 5/6/2008 3:00:58 PM ( 16 y ) ... viewed 1859 times Well, I was eating about 80% raw for about 2-3 weeks. I lost an additional 5 pounds so I was at 152. I then went to my parent's for passover and ate WAAAAY too much. It was all delicious though and I only get my mom's home cooking once or twice a year.
On our way home I got sick, really really sick. I had a 103 temp for about a week. I hardly ate and slept all day. I ended up losing all the weight I had gained at my parent's. The week after that (last week) I was still tired, and barely making it through the day at work, I didn't go to the gym at all and I was ordering in food every day. Needless to say I ended up back at 153 (not so bad, right?).
Anyway, so I have been signed up for weekly recipes from Frederic Patenaude (http://www.fredericpatenaude.com) and I was invited to join him and many others on a 10-day Spring Cleanse. I started with a 24 hour water fast (it really wasn't that hard!) and I am now on fresh/raw fruit and veggies for the next 8 days. It has been pretty hard considering I made it 14 days on juice alone.
Anyway, I am going to stick to this cleanse in hopes of jump starting more weight loss. I was really maintaining my weight loss after the juicing, so at least I didn't gain it all back.
Is anyone here on the Spring Cleanse? I may look to do another juice fast after the cleanse depending on the success, is anyone interested in joining me? I am figuring the fast will end on Wednesday (5/14) and I will take a week of at least 90% raw, then onto the juice.
On a side note, I have really enjoyed reading everyone's blogs about their juicing, thanks!
Oh, also I found and bought my wedding dress! I love it and it has everything that I was looking for! Now I just have to wait until September to try it on (OMG, I can't wait!).
