Leslie was asking for more
of us to remember our Gardener Consciousness
through taking a beet,
putting it in the best potting soil we can find
and growing the beet greens.
Whatever the beet does,
you do! said Leslie to the enthusiastic
visitors at Local Vendors Day.

Leslie was sharing the Spring EG Campaign
and calling attention to
VIP KEEP THE "BEET" Local San Diegans
such as
Dr. Bernard Jensen (1901-2001).
There is going to be a Centennial Celebration to
Dr. Jensen at the Town and Country this June.
Keep the "Beet" is calling for a Moment of Awakening
and return to Gardener Consciousness.
It aims to draw support for local organic farmers
who need our support due to water regulations.
Every Unit Counts now, says Your Enchanted Gardener.
This means join a CSA, shop the Farmers' Market,
and support all stores that are selling locally grown
organic foods.
Whole Foods Market and People's Coop are two in
this area that are strong supports of locally grown organic.
This year their is a shortage of locally grown organic foods
going into the markets.
