Day Before My First Juice Fast
Start of First Juice Fast
Date: 12/31/2007 6:50:59 AM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 1797 times I asked for and received a Breville Juicer for Christmas. We've made some great fruit juices this past week and I am excited to get a fresh start by juice fasting for the new year. Over the past two years I've gained weight and lost some of myself. I have been sad and irritable. I've been not happy with myself and my weight. I'm hoping this will be a great jump start to a great new year. If things go well, I may incorporate mini juice fasts each week of one or two days to keep control. Also got a pedometer, so I will be tracking how much walking I do and increasing the steps.
I have read other peoples blogs...the whole eliminating part seems a bit "scary". I don't think I could do the enema thing. Not even sure about the salt water. I saw some of the senna teas in the grocery store, so I will get some today. I tried the Ian Smith diet once..eating just veggies/ fruit...and it was too much, too soon!! I have never been in such distress in my life (giving birth to a 9 1/2 lb baby was easier!!). I don't want to end up in that position again.
I'm not sure how long...depends on how I feel. I hope the minimum is 10 days, but if I feel good I may try for 21 days. I've seen many blogs listed that are only one entry (where did they go??? how did they do??? Did they even try??)...and I hope I am not one of them.
I hope to feel cleaner, healthier, lighter and more vibrant by the end of this. I hope to have a new lease on life, to be happier, more free and more in the "present". High expectations, huh??
Just saw an infomercial about someone selling a pill to cleanse the system. He was talking about parasites and passing worms (with teeth). I want to throw up!!!! If anything moving comes out of me, I would freak!!!
On that note...I will start the last day of 2007!!! Going shopping for my fruits/veggies/tea today....not drinking tonight (I'll volunteer to drive home from the New Years get together..don't drink anything and drive with my kids in the car, especially on New Years Eve with all the wackos out there).
Happy New Year!!!
