Day 2
Day 2 of fasting
Date: 12/18/2007 8:29:36 PM ( 17 y ) ... viewed 3210 times I started off with 186 pounds. Today in the morning I was 184. It's mostly water loss, probably all water and no fat at this point. I still smoke cigarettes, drink coffee with lots of sugar and snapple.
I've done it before, lasted for 11 days. The biggest misconception people have about fasting is that they'd feel light-headed, tired and hungry. It's true for the first 2-3 days, you do feel hunger, not really bad, but you do. But after that it goes completely away. I'm not too sure about what I'm about to say, but it makes sense. after a few days of your body not getting any food it stops making the digestive fluid??? (I'm Russian, forgive my English lol).
That's why it's much easier to fast than to diet. I tried dieting, but it takes will power and I don't have any.
Diets fail for me for a few reasons.
First, I'm always thinking about food and what to eat, and end up overeating. And I still feel hunger. Also, I'm not used to denying myself anything, so I can't keep to the diet.
So all that said, it's much easier for me to just stop eating period.
Not only that after 2-3 days I feel no hunger, I also feel great, light, energetic.
And seeing the progress really helps. Let's face it, fasting is the fastest way to lose weight.
So if some people get discouraged when they don't see enough weight loss when they're fasting, then what's to say about diets?
It's too long-term for me and I just can't do it.
The reason I spent so much time talking about this is because I get a lot of negative reactions from people. Don't know where it's coming from - I'm not making them fast, right?
People don't know much about it and always try talking others out of it.
that's because they never tried it and don't know how much easier it actually is.
Or maybe it is so for me only, after all, everyone is different.
Anyway, hopefully I'll make it.
I really don't want to stop after a few days.
