Israel.
Israel is helping America develop renewable, environmentally-friendly energy. Israeli solar power plants located in southern California already produce 90% of the world's solar thermal power. Israelis are working on a new Mojave Desert site that will boost California's renewable energy portion to 18% by 2011.
According to Israeli experts, a solar thermal plant built on just 1% of the surface of the Sahara Desert could provide the entire world's electricity demands.
