Farm Bill stagnates in the Senate
The Farm Bill continues to stagnate in the Senate, and will not be considered before Thanksgiving recess. In fact, House members have now introduced a proposal to extend the current Act for one year. This is in congruence with veto threats emanating from the Administration, and concerns about funding. OTA is monitoring on an almost-hourly basis as the Senate considers action, and will keep you informed via its Farm Bill Forum. To sign up for OTA's Farm Bill Forum, contact Tessa Young.
