Chargers, Colts scratch heads after odd contest:
By Jarrett Bell, USA TODAY
SAN DIEGO — How strange was it?
DISCUSS: Where should Colts be in NFL power rankings?
"This is probably the weirdest game I've ever been in," San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers said after Sunday night's 23-21 victory against the Indianapolis Colts.
The Chargers built a 23-0 lead, then wound up sweating at the end as Adam Vinatieri's 29-yard field goal try with 1½ minutes remaining was pushed wide right.
Yeah, that Vinatieri — the most clutch kicker in NFL history.
Vinatieri's leg provided the difference in three Super Bowl victories for the New England Patriots.
But with the game on the line, the money kicker missed.
"I just didn't hit it good," said Vinatieri, who missed a 42-yarder as the first half expired. "Everything else was great. … I screwed it up."

Rain Brings Chargers Win Against Colts
POSTED: 6:28 am PST November 12, 2007
UPDATED: 6:41 am PST November 12, 2007
SAN DIEGO -- It rained on the San Diego Chargers-Indianapolis Colts football game Sunday at Qualcomm Stadium, but fans went home happy because the Charges eked out a 23-21 victory.
The light rain soaked players and fans -- and a rain-slick field may have contributed to Indianapolis missing a 29-yard field goal in the final minutes that might have given the visiting team the victory.
But the total rainfall in most parts of San Diego County was less than a tenth of an inch, according to the National Weather Service.

It rained is San Diego Sunday night. It was a gift from Angels.
We did a teardown of the Sacred Space at Pac Symposium.
We had a bucket of soil where many had planted their
Seed Dreams.
That eve, I placed the bucket outside on the porch.
The soil and sacred dreams had a taste of rain.
I have never known Job's Tears to come up this time of year,
but in the energy of the Sacred Space, a number of them
are coming up that were planted a few weeks ago.
They are definitely in sync with the new moon energy
that drives seeds up from underground.
The Chargers played the Superbowl winning Colts
on TV here Sunday night as well.
The Colts were the favored team but both teams
had a very strange game, one of the weirdest they have
had.
The rain, some said was a factor in the Home team,
the Chargers winning. The exciting game I hear came down
to a missed field goal from a champion field goal kicker who
never misses. He missed this time to drive home
a point that I am making now.
When we create Sacred Space and work with the natural elements,
amazing and mystifying events will occur in our lives.
