Noel Stehly, third generation San Diego organic farmer, will be a sponsor
at our upcoming Pacific Symposium Altar. Noel's locally grown delicious
valencia oranges--four boxes--wlll be offered up to the conference attendees.
They will be a part of the Plant Your Dream, Enchanted Garden Altar.
Joe Rodriguez, Jr.'s flowers will dress up the healing area.
Last year we sampled some of his delicious locally grown tomatos.
Both farmers have produce featured in the Whole Foods Market.
Whole Foods Market is a tremendous supporter of local organic farmers.
San Diego farmers are facing a water rollback.
The rollback from the Metropolitan Water District will influence
most of Southern California. The cause of the rollback of water allotment
is a desire to preserve the Delta Smelt fish, a presumeed endangered species.
Noel told me that the state needs to have more water storage.
Water from the North is sent out to sea. This water could be held in storage.
Joe Rodriguez is concerned about the water shortage.
