A thought I had when reading an article about dieting.
I read in a fitness magazine yesterday that if I am fasting or dieting because my main goal is to lose weight, then I have a 50-60% chance of failing. Most women who go on diets just to slim done are more likely to go on fad diets, take pills, or anything else that’s extreme and at the end just really bad for your body and your morale.
My main reason for going on a juice fast is to get down to the lowest weight possible. My goal is to be as thin as I can before I go back home to Florida in the middle of September. And I’m planning on going to this huge Halloween party in San Francisc ... read more

This is just a summary of day one.
oh how easily the mind just plays tricks on you! i knew i wasn’t hungry but i’d be doing something random like reading or cleaning the house and images of food would just pop in my head and i’d get a serious craving for that food. it was doing that all day. and it was only my first day... i can only hope that it gets better!
i’ve been very lazy and lethargic these past few months (due to poor eating habits, a lack of exercise, and my arthritis) and juicing made me even laaaazier. i just wanted to nap and let the hours pass by so that a new day would arrive and i could say that ”hey! ... read more

this entry is about me. it tracks my journey on my liquid fast.
there are a couple of reasons why i’m starting a liquid diet.
1.) of COURSE i want to lose weight and look good. who doesn’t? so yes, my main reason is superficial.
2.) i’m only 24 years old and yet i have arthritis (due to my psoriasis) on both of my knees and my right wrist. i can barely walk or even get up without the help of alleve or some other pain medication. having arthritis on my right wrist has changed everything. it’s hard to open doors, tie up my hair, or even pull the sheets up over me when i sleep.
