Day Five   13 y
Wow, day five already...

Day four was good. Lots of energy which I didn’t mind utilizing. Too bad there weren’t enough hours in the day! Today is much the same, so far. I am noticing a bit of a hunger pang. A little unusual for me. I think day three pretty much ends the hunger for me. Nothing unbearable though. My skin is looking very nice. My complexion previously was old and muddy, for lack of a better description. Right now it’s rosey and soft. I know it’ll be radiant and velvet-like eventually, as this is the trend in previous fasts. I’ve been having problems with my right arm and hand falling sleep thro ...   read more

Day Three   13 y
Day three on Another Fasting Journey...

Doing very well today. The headache left last night after exceeding my own personal breaking point in pain and inducing a lovely vomit session. I promptly drank a cup of chammomile tea and fell asleep where I slept like a rock. LOVE how awesome sleep is when fasting! I have more energy than the previous two days, no headache as of yet and not one hunger pang. It’s midday so we’ll see how it goes. I’ll update more of today’s progress later on tonight. Juices so far: Just one- Watermelon, pineapple, apple and grape. Plenty of water. Coffee enema and dry brushing this morning... ...   read more

Day Two   13 y
Day Two in "Another Juice Fasting Journey"...

Another good day. Much more tired than in previous fasts, but I am also in worse shape so it’s to be expected. Another headache started this morning and has lasted throughout the day. I notice it starts to ease when I just sit and rest but being a mother of three means little time to sit and rest, so my head has been throbbing most of the day. Hunger pangs here and there... Nothing intense. Day would have been a breeze if it weren’t for the headache... I just read a great book about how a man(who was also a doctor) recovered from aids, naturally. It took me only two days to read. Needle ...   read more

Another Fasting Journey- Day One   13 y
Another positive juice fasting journey begins...

Today went very well considering yesterday I began the liver flush and finished it up this morning. Epsom salts are the worst tasting thing on the planet, I’m sure of it. So glad the flush is over! I ate last at 2pm yesterday so I’m well over my first 24 hours of the fast and doing great. I’m very positive and think this fast will be a great success. I am aiming for at least 90 days but also toying with the idea of six months, if of course, my body is up for that. Of course I’m hungry at times. There was a headache this morning but that went away around noon. I’ve been pretty tired b ...   read more

Thirty and beginning another fast...   13 y
Juice Fasting, hormone craziness, and the struggle to attain health in order to simply LIVE.

Can I just start with how thankful I am that Curezone has saved my blog posts from so many years ago??? If not for this site I’d have all but forgotten what my fasting journeys entailed. I have been unable to fast for many years, for many reasons. One big reason was the newest addition to our family, our third child, a baby girl we named Lily. She’s just weaned after 15 months of nursing. Naturally, I’m in terrible health. I can’t recall if I’ve posted about my recent diagnosis (pituitary tumor) but it’s one of those diseases that just keeps getting worse. I meet a new record level o ...   read more

Day Two   17 y
Detox

O.k. Day one is over. Two more to go, depending on my detox level, of course. Headache has started in back of the head, upper spine area. Same place as last fast. I did not sleep well last night. I woke up rested, yes, but my mind was all over the map. Supposed to storm today, looking forward to it. Praying today and tomorrow goes by fast...   visit the page

Food Addiction... The Number One Killer

...and S.A.D. (Standard American Diet) is bad! This last year has been a rollercoaster. Many changes, mostly good. Way too busy though, which helped contribute to the way I feel today. You know, when you don’t have time to prepare healthy food, which DOES take time, there are 40 different fast food joints to choose from that will take just minutes! Precious minutes... Then, after you’ve gotten hooked on the junk (again) it’s like a drug addiction. Nothing tastes good, nor is appealing or satisfying unless it’s completely bad for you. Regardless of the obvious effects (weight gain- ...   read more

A sicker America...

http://www.newswithviews.com/Richards/byron7.htm http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/08/18/edible.virus.ap/index.html Not a good idea. Inside our guts, as many of you know, are millions of bacteria that are paramount to good health. Introducing a virus(s) like this could mean that eventually the new virus will begin to attack the good bacteria, which will lead to a sicker America (as if we needed anything else to make us sick). Or the other option would be that our bodies will reject the new virus and consider it a threat, beginning a battle to fighting off something we’re constantly putting b ...   read more

My friend is dying.   18 y
Life

My dear friend, someone actually very close to my husband and I is dying. He needs a new liver and has a tumor on his spine that has to be removed or he’ll be paralyzed. In fact, the surgery itself is so difficult that if there’s the tiniest slip-up, he’ll be paralyzed right then and there. He’s been in bad health for years. Health was never something he thought much about. Ate what he wanted, never excerised, took modern medicine... He had half his colon removed years ago, has had cancer, and now tumors on the spine and a failing liver. He was also diagnosed with diabetes a few years b ...   read more

Warnings about Long Term Fasting   18 y
Just a few things to keep in mind...

Hi there! I haven’t been able to frequent the boards as much as I’d like but I have been thinking about posting this message for some time, as people should be aware of both the good and the not-so-good of something before they try it. Long term fasting is safe. I, and others are living proof of it. By long term, I mean, anything over 30 days. However there are some things everyone should be aware of. 1. A fast over 50 days (roughly) will result in hairloss. Considering the length of time you fast, I think, the more you lose. During my longest fast (145 days) I lost a lot of hair ...   read more

Sorry! Life has been hectic.   18 y
Life in 4th gear....

Don’t have much time to write. Life has been absolutely crazy lately, including a travel i didn’t know I’d have to make. I fasted for one day last week. Too much happened and I figured starting a fast wasn’t going to be easy. Now, if I’d already been in the middle of one, it wouldn’t be an issue, but starting is always a time when you need the extra rest and solitude. Doing well here. I’ve basically maintained my weight, even though I’ve been eating of the SAD. I have gained 10 pounds, but that was all within 3 days after I introduced SAD foods. I’m guessing the bulk of that 10 is water ...   read more

Quick update   18 y
Update

Haven’t gained any weight. In fact, I’ve lost 2 lbs. Eating mainly veggies and fruit. Have added olive oil, cooked rice and salt. Craving meat big time, so I may not wait a month to introduce light meats. Going to the BR on my own, pretty easily. I take 4 probiotics with every meal and I’m drinking tons of water. My energy level has gone done a bit, but I think that may have something to do with my hubby and I possibly catching a cold and our very hectic schedules. I hope everyone is well!   visit the page

It is Finished   18 y
Yes, the fast is over.

Well, the fast ended on day 105, which was Sunday. I had experienced hunger and going to the BR on my own for approx. seven days. I couldn’t figure out if my watermelon fetish (because I had to chew at times to get the juice out) was the cause, and the hunger simple wasn’t going away. So, I gave in and had some apple. I’ve been eating vegan since Sunday. VERY small quanties and only when I get hungry. It’s funny that a half cup of green salad will completely fill me up. I still feel good and sleep well. No stomach issues and I’m ”going” on my own. I haven’t gained any weight either. I’l ...   read more

Day 104. Nope didn't stop. :)   18 y
Watermelon may be the culprit.

I actually haven’t stopped yet. I am wondering if the returning hunger is due to my new watermelon fetish. You’re allowed to suck on watermelon while fasting, but sometimes you have to bite down in order to get that juice out. Well, I’m thinking when you’re doing it all day long, for days, your system may think it’s eating. That would explain the dull hunger and going to the bathroom on my own. I’ve never ”gone” on my own before actually ending a fast. I thought was that very odd. So, I’m going to give it a couple more days without watermelon and see where I am at. At the end of this fa ...   read more

Day 102 and the fast may be over...   18 y
Hunger has returned...

The last couple of days I have been experiencing what I believe is hunger. It’s a dull hunger that goes away when I drink something BUT you shouldn’t have any hunger at all during a fast. It should go away for good and once it comes back you know your body is telling you that you’re done. With my longest fast (145 days) I experienced and unmistakable hunger. A huge, loud hunger pang that wasn’t going away. So, this time is a little different, but none the less, I believe I may be done. I’ve also started going to the bathroom on my own, no lax tea or enemas. I’m nervous because it’s b ...   read more

Day 100!!!!!   18 y
100 days of Juice Fasting has done me much good!

Well, I made it 100 days. Hurray! Funny thing about hitting a 3 digit number, it’s really just 1 more day than yesterday, which was just a normal day. lol :) I wanted to post a few changes my body and life have experienced during this fast: 1. Obviously weight loss. 82 pounds. Oh, yeah! :) 2. No headaches. I used to get one good headache a month. 3. Feel lighter. No more bloated feeling in my lower stomach area. 4. Great complexion. Acne hasn’t completely cleared up but coloring is awesome. 5. I sleep like a rock, every night, and wake up totally rested. The night before last, I ...   read more
