novel writer here! my short story is almost done and snow has arrived...yay...not.
Where did the year go? I am wrapping up a short story and my first spiritual semi-historical novel about world war two. Gosh I am looking outside and folks I MISS my bicycle even though it’s only ten degrees outside.
One of my goals is to get my bike riding back on track next spring even if I live somewhere rural and ”not exciting”. It doesn’t matter. It is ME that has the problem. Mother Nature isn’t boring and unexciting.

I’ve been working on my first novel using the ”novel in thirty days” format. I started it while I was in school at the end of the semester. Really it came out of a need to contribute something to the world and also deep job dissatisfaction.

recovering energy in the midst of lyme disease
Here’s a video from my recent walk... I’ve not done much in the way of riding this summer. I thought it was job stress and about two months or so ago, I noticed an odd rash on my groin that I thought was JOCK ITCH. YUCK. I don’t know when I was bit, prolly on a bike ride about two weeks before this rash showed up. I believe that I’ve had lyme disease for a while and had some atypical symptoms, like the constipation,etc. This whole time I was struggling with fatigue, depression,etc. UGH... So anyway, I’m on doxycycline twice a day for a month and am now starting to feel better.

The original Emerson’s Coffee Bike that was in all my videos was stolen off my front porch. It was a Cannondale hybrid that was nice on the road and nice on smooth bike trails. :sniff:
I have my backup bike I call bicicleta del camino de la muerta. This bike can be a coffee bike forrealz because it has a rack LOL. I’ve made a few trips with my gym sack and lunch lashed to the back of it already.

My husband bought me a new laptop when my netbook shat the bed. I’m so blessed to live in the land of opportunity where you can buy laptops for under $400. I was going to the library and ready to go there for a while but he insisted. Who am I to argue?
Anyway, winter decided to show up. I went out for a few walks but no cycling. I’ve taken to using the spinbike at the gym. I miss bike riding and meandering about during the summer and fall.
