First week of Iodine
For the past 2 days I have been taking 18.75mg’s or 3 drops of Iodine. I haven’t noticed any major detox effects other than sleeplessness and mild headache, also one day I tasted a slight metallic taste in the back of my mouth. The positive effects of the Iodine are increased energy and mental fogginess has cleared. Im noticing that my overall well being feels greatly improved. My body needed iodine.

No negative reactions to iodine yet, no detox symptoms other than mild headaches.
Something told me last night to take 12mg. rather than 6 again (a good friend keeps reminding me to follow my gut.) I took 2 drops last night around 9pm and was WIRED until about 3:30am. I got a lot of house organization and cleaning done in the weeee hours of the morning. I slept until about 11 today and have just ingested 12mg. more of iodine.

first day report on iodine, 1 drop of 5%
I had originally intended to start iodine 2 days ago, but it didnt feel right. Today I woke up and cycled 5 miles and did a wonderful yoga flow. It came to me during my yoga practice that TODAY WAS THE DAY. Despite a large argument with my boyfriend (followed by a make up), I decided to ingest 1 drop of the 5% J. Crows Iodine.
After about 5 minutes I became VERY thirsty, I drank 2.5 LARGE glasses of distilled water and now feel wonderful. There is some kind of heightened alertness to how i feel right now. After much deliberation and reading I have ordered Iodine and will start supplementing with J Crows 5% tomorrow. I will start with one drop per day, probably in the evenings before supper. I started this blog as a place to log my reactions and thoughts on iodine supplementation.
I have hypothyroidism and was told at the age of 14 that I would have to take synthroid for the rest of my life, I am on 125 mg daily and my dosage has never changed since I was 14, 10 years ago.
