I received a Bayside Rosary and prayed on it and these Rosaries were in my coat pocket when I fell and broke my hip. The ambulance rushed me to the hospital and I was in terrible pain. When I went to be operated on my hip, the Doctors said you are not supposed to have anything (rosaries) on your bed. And the other doctor said “give it to me” and placed it in his pants pocket. I am a native of Brooklyn and have been to Bayside five times and also to the Vatican grounds. I have been meaning for the past year to write to you regarding the miraculous cure of my legs.
I had heart surgery three times; I had the most horrible pains in my legs for four years. I saw about 50 doctors; they gave me every name you could imagine for my physical condition. It was taken with a Pentax 35-mm camera by Y.H. of Brooklyn, N.Y., on August 14, 1973, the Vigil of the Assumption. I was a Protestant for 44 years. I converted to the Roman Catholic faith because of Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers Shrine. I was attending my sister who had been quite ill, and a friend of mine told me about the Shrine, and she told me I should get the brown scapular and Rose Petals.
