Well what I mean is it uses more resources.
We all need to injest life energy to survive, whether its from plants, animals, etc.
When we eat meat, we are really taking DOUBLE the life. We are taking allll the plant life it took to sustain that cow's life all the way up until its slaughter {and all the land it took to grow the plant life to feed the cow}, AND we are taking the life of the cow itself. Im against taking more life to sustain my own than we need. I also have strong beliefs about emotions and flesh and fear, etc. And I wont eat the flesh of a living thing that suffered its entire life and then died in fear and misery, that flesh is energetically tainted and wont enter my body, but of course these types of spirtual beliefs are individual and not a point to use in anyway other than explaining why I can not eat meat.
Also as far as wasteful, the meat industry is a huge contributor to pollution all around the world, and also plays a big part in deforestation. I dont really understand how we can continue to use meat as a primary food source, especially in a world with a growing population and a world that is steadily being destroyed by humans.
