Blog: 'fast' path to health-a 1st attempt at juice fasting!
Hey all, ok I need some inspiration, something. I woke up today planning to begin my fast again and much like the first day, I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bowl of cereal. My stomache was growling so bad that I probably would have eaten it even if I was more awake and hadn't been on autopilot. The thought of spending an hour straining another glass of juice just seems daunting. I am just worn out when I even think of doing this fast.
It would definately help if I had a better juicer, well maybe not even that would help.Even though I felt HORRIBLE the first few days, I had such a boost in my ego that I was doing it, I walked with my head a little higher. Now I feel like I have failed. I have yet to read about someone in curezone who has failed at a fast. So either I just completely suck, or no one is honest about it. Help guys!
I am beginning to think I will never feel well again :-(

Hi Red,
Believe me, you're not a failure. Many people have false starts the first time out the gate so you are not unique in that respect. If you are truely committed to a cleaner and healthier body, you will find the will power to achieve your goal. Hang in there and make a new committment and give it another try.
Peace

Hang in there! You are not alone in meeting the challenge of putting one foot in front of the other as you walk your walk to path. You will come across bumps, brambles and boulders on your journey but like others, often it takes more than a few running starts to get past some of those obstacles. The first few days are also the most difficult and you are getting past those. If you can afford to get a better juicer, WalMart has a black and decker citrus juicer for under 20 bucks.
Most of all, keep your heart and soul and eye on your goal. No one promises you it will be easy, but we can promise you, it will be worth it. So, do your personal best and keep on keeping on.
If you do continue to feel overwhelmed, consider backing off and using the lemonade as meal replacements and working up to a full cleanse. Even a day a week's benefits will accumulate. There are still options for you to explore...
I wish you the best on your healing journey!
blessings,
Zoe

1978,
Failure is simply a word. Failure: lack of success. Success: accomplishing intended purpose. Occasionally we get lucky, but most of the time we experience difficulties, setbacks, failures while striving to achieve a new goal. These "failures" are all part of the process. Lesson: a unit of instruction. Break down any task or goal and you will find lessons(failures) learned and applied to reach success. Remember your first bicycle? How many times did you fall(fail) before learning the lesson of balance?
You seem defeated... remember failure is only a word. The feelings you are experiencing are also part of the process which will lead you to success. Try to rest today gathering your strength and thinking about the lessons you have learned so far. What are your assets, strengths, and weaknesses?
There are lessons to be learned from others success in this forum. If you aren't getting support from home, you know there is a cheering section here whenever you need it. Use your resources. I have the Black and Decker citrus juicer zoe mentioned. It works great! Ensure you have the tools and ingredients necessary for success. Try to find a farmer's market. This time of year they are usually less expensive and have terrific, fresh produce. Giving up ensures you will never achieve your goal. Colleen

- Three Ideas by rawgirl

The three things that help me the most are:
(1) Planning for success for the next day. This means shopping for the next day (so there are no excuses ... "I ran out of stuff", and even juicing for the next day. If you are a zombie in the morning, juice the night before, and then you can say, "Oh, look at the nice person who made me this delicious goddess elixir ... how kind and thoughtful! Oh yeah, that was me! Cool!"
Ya gotta out strategize your inner saboteur. It's evil, but you can outwit him/her.
(2) PRAYER! Not that old-time religion, old school kind, but the new school kind. Rent the ultra-cool flick "What the Bleep" DVD to understand that we control reality via our intentions, and the Universe responds like a waitress taking our order at a restaurant. If we order a sucky life, because we didn't understand the choices, we have no one to blame but ourselves. So I pray for the strength, help, courage, whatever I need .... and the Universe responds. Simple but it works.
(3) Read the blogs of those succeeding and cheer them on with your positive energy to send the joy out. This gets us out of our own stuff and spreading the light around so all of us are encourage. Make ten positive posts to encourage others and I guarantee it will lift your own spirits and put you back into a feeling of empowerment.

AWWWWWWWWWW thanks guys. I will definately try to make the juice ahead of time and even though my husband does not support me, he suggested that I hide the cereal since it has thrown me off twice now. Thanks for support, and I will give all of your ideas a try. My ulcer is also better so I may have to switch to the MC. It helps my cravings so much better and honestly, its just easier. No wonder everyone in this world is fat, there is food everywhere and its so easy to get! No hunting, no peeling, no nothing, you just go and buy it! Anyway, thanks so much for the help!
