Blog: Master Cleanse for Mind and Body
Yesterday I took some relaxation time to sunbathe in the morning. It is so beautiful in the Pacific Northwest when the sun is shining. It was breezy so I enjoyed watching the leaves rustle high above as the butterflies flitted about. What a wonderful way to start a day!
I continued to have healthy eliminations which make me feel cleaner and healthier. My eyes were caked when I awoke so it feels like I'm purging impurities from every angle, a good reminder of why I'm MCing.
My girls and I went shopping for a birthday gift for my niece. We had a ball scouring the toy section for fun gifts. Then at the birthday party we all went swimming (after playing with bubbles and sidewalk chalk). It is so great to see how well my daughters interact with their much younger cousins. Rarely do they get bored with the games they play together.
I took a lot of really cute pictures, which is good because my older sister and kids are moving to Southern Oregon in a couple of weeks. This was likely the last time we will see them for a year or two.
After the get together, I took the girls back to their dad's. They won't be home until the early August. I miss them already. Luckily they will call me each morning when they get up (just like they do during the summer at my house). I bought them a cell phone last month just so we could stay in touch (their dad's house is long distance).
I've been counting down to OJ day. Eight more days to go! Where I buy my lemons, at the Yakima Fruit Stand, they've had such delightful looking fruit. I brought a flat of raspberries from there to the party yesterday and the smell was soooooo tempting. Although I know the it will still be there when I finish my fast, I'm spending more and more time salivating over food.
Hope everyone else's fast is going well,
Peanut

I am glad you had such a happy time with your girls. It sounded wonderful!
I am especially glad you were able to go out and soak up some sun. It is
so healing and I know you were waiting for a really nice sunny day.
Eights days to go~~you are in the homestretch now! It sounds like your cleansing is still going deep, the detox from your eyes a good sign for more gunk OUT! I had that once, and I was thinking what you are...wow, detox!
I wish you continuing success and hopes for more sunny days!

blessings,
Zoe

Howdy Zoebess,
I'm feeling sunnier inside and out. Please let it last. I've been working hard at focusing on my affirmations. It's been a month so the St. John's Wort may be kicking in to (not a moment too soon).
Starting to get MC short timers syndrome. Did you think a lot more about food as you got closer to the end of your fast? I keep wanting really weird stuff. No garlic cravings like past cleanses, I've been using garlic tincture this time. Instead I have been smelling all the different mustards. Hot mustards and stone ground mustards seem to be the best smelling. Maybe the Master Cleanse is just an excuse for me to be weird. ggg
Thanks for always being there,
Peanut

ggg...a good way of putting it...short-timers...ggg
No, my first long cleanse it was like you described. More of an ordeal but I saw it as a challenge. Especially when I was young, I mountain climbed and did other things that I LIKED because of the challenge. So, Master Cleansing was right up my alley and of course, the emotional and mental challenges can be substantial depending on how long your inner child has been in business for him or herself...ggg.
It will be your own personal labyrinth to work your way out of. This is why I think it is the most difficult part of the cleanse. The food part is easy. I know I was able to give myself silly rewards my first cleanse and so you cannot imagine what I would do just to *earn* a silly sticker on my day calender. I had lots of those little stickers and put one on my calender for everything. I could tell at a glance what I had done and did not do so it was a good visual cue for me. I am visual though. I can read something, but if you show me a picture, I "get" it. Anyway, exercise this obstacle just like you have done all your others...head on, and OVER! Keep your eye, heart & soul on your goal and visualize the feeling of I DID IT you will feel when you cross your personal finish line....
My second 30 day cleanse was a breeze in comparison so most likely, you will not pass this way again. Keep up the great job and let us know what worked for you!

blessings,
Zoe
