Blog: Master Cleanse for Mind and Body
Friday was another crazy day at work. Then on Saturday morning we drove five hours to Spokane to see my in-laws (informal family reunion each 4th of July weekend).
Usually one of the best parts of these family get togethers is the non-stop tasty food. It's everywhere and smells so good. I kept sniffing the big bowl of potato salad when no one was looking and the italian pasta salad too. Weird things look good to me like the plate of onions (sandwich condiments) were more tempting than the raspberry cream cheese dessert that I love. It's funny what our bodies want when we are cleansing.
I didn't cheat or want to for that matter. On Sunday about 20 of us went to a cute little bistro that my hubby's aunt owns. All I had was herbal tea (although I did put a packet of raw sugar in it). It was a wonderful test of my will power and I feel stronger for it.
Because we were staying at someone's house I didn't do my oil pulling, Smooth Move, or SWF so I had less energy than usual and my mouth felt disgusting. When we got home Sunday night I did a SWF (even though you should only do it on an empty stomach) and pulled oil. My white tongue losts it's fluff from the oil swishing and the SWF stuff that came out made the toilet water almost as dark as coffee. How great to get all that crud out. My body still feels like it's backed up. But that SWF helped a lot.
Last night I soaked my tootsies in epsom salt and mustard seed for a half of an hour while I watched a movie (between moments of making a mad dash to the bathroom). It was nice to take a moment just to take care of me.
I had a very nice weekend and am getting into an MC groove,
Peanut

Hi Peanut,
I am just curious how long you have been doing oil pulling and if you have noticed any results. I went to the forum and read up on the procedure and am considering.
Thanks.

Hi Seunim,
I've been pulling for almost three weeks now. My teeth are whiter, a very sensitive tooth is feeling much better, my breath is better (especially my morning breath) and my teeth feel so smooth even after I eat. It seems odd that something so simple helps but it does!
I think I had read this is your first fast. Is that right? If so you will notice that the lemonaide really gunks up your teeth (many people drink it from a straw to help). I wasn't sure if the oil pulling was the reason it didn't seem so bad this fast until this weekend. I didn't oil pull when I was at my in-laws (in Spokane) and my teeth felt terrible. My tongue became a horribly white. When I got home last night I pulled and both got better instantly.
I'm going to continue doing it for sometime and see what happens. It certainly cannot hurt plus it's cheap and easy.
Thanks for asking,
Peanut
PS Aren't you in the Pacific NW for the summer? I live just north of Seattle.

I will keep your input in mind. You are right, this is my first fast. If my teeth start gunking up, I think I will have to give this a try. Thanks for getting back to me. It is appreciated.
Peace

Your will-power is amazing - congratulations! Your blog (and seunim´s) are most inspiring.
Re. the oil-pulling and MC. When exactly do you do it - before the SWF?
Thanks for answering!

Hello 38782,
Yes I do my pulling before the SWF but after I brush the gunk off my teeth with no toothpaste (if I use toothpaste I fill my oil with saliva too quickly). Then I rinse my mouth out, do the SWF and brush the flavor of our lovely morning cocktail our of my mouth by rebrushing with paste.
Hope that helps,
Peanut
