Blog: The Master Cleanse Express
It is recommended that we flush our liver before and after
doing the Master Cleanse. It's just good body maintenance to
clean our body's filters. We take care of our vehicles and
replace their filters regularly. We need to focus on ourselves
when we begin a phase of healing. Many of us already have
congested gallbladders and livers. Fasting can exacerbate the
formation of stones. We do not want *more* stones if we
already have some! Flushing the liver can be an important
step for insuring success with your cleansing experience.
Here are a couple of liver flush recipes. The one listed first
is the one I use the most. The second one I have read about
in the Liver Flush Forum archives.

1. Liver Flush
This home remedy definitely works: It's easy, harmless,
non-toxic, cheap and in many people produces an astonishing
quantity of gallstones. Most people who try it just cannot
believe what comes out! There are several versions with
minor variations, but this one, given to the world by
Dr Hulda Clark in her seminal book Cure for all Diseases,
is well attested. Her description is quoted verbatim:
"Cleansing the liver of gallstones dramatically improves
digestion, which is the basis of your whole health. You can
expect your allergies to disappear, too, more with each
cleanse you do! Incredibly, it also eliminates shoulder,
upper arm and upper back pain. You have more energy and
increased sense of well-being.
It is the job of the liver to make bile, one to one and
a half quarts in a day! The liver is full of tubes
(biliary tubing) that deliver the bile to one large tube
(the common bile duct). The gallbladder is attached to the
common bile duct and acts as a storage reservoir. Eating
fat or protein triggers the gallbladder to squeeze itself
empty after about 20 minutes, and the stored bile finishes
its trip down the common bile duct to the intestine.
For many persons, including children, the biliary tubing is
choked with gallstones. Some develop allergies or hives but
some have no symptoms. When the gallbladder is scanned or
X-rayed, nothing is seen. Typically, they are not in the
gallbladder. Not only that, most are too small and not
calcified, a prerequisite for visibility on an X-ray.
There are over half a dozen varieties of gallstones,
most of which have cholesterol crystals in them. They
can be black, red, white, green or tan colored. The
green ones get their color from being coated with bile.
Many have imbedded unidentified objects. Are they fluke
remains? Many are shaped like corks with longitudinal g
rooves below the tops. We can visualize the blocked bile
ducts from such shapes. Other stones are composites --
made of many smaller ones -- showing that they regrouped
in the bile ducts some time after the last cleanse.
At the very center of each stone is found a clump of
bacteria, according to scientists, suggesting a dead bit
of parasite might have started the stone forming.
As the stones grow and become more numerous, the back
pressure on the liver causes it to make less bile.
Imagine the situation if your garden hose had marbles
in it. Much less water would flow, which in turn would
decrease the ability of the hose to squirt out the
marbles. With gallstones, much less cholesterol leaves
the body, and cholesterol levels rise.
Gallstones, being porous, can pick up all the bacteria,
cysts, viruses and parasites that are passing through
the liver. In this way "nests" of infection are formed,
forever supplying the body with fresh bacteria. No stomach
infection such as ulcers or intestinal bloating can be
cured permanently without removing these gallstones from
the liver.
Preparation:
You can't clean a liver with living parasites in it. You
won't get out many stones, and will feel quite sick. Zap
daily the week before, or get through the first three weeks
of the parasite-killing program before attempting a liver
cleanse. If you are on a parasite maintenance program, do
a high dose program the week before.
Completing the kidney cleanse before cleansing the liver
is also recommended. You want your kidneys, bladder and
urinary tract in top working condition so they can
efficiently remove any undesirable substances incidentally
absorbed from the intestine as the bile is being excreted.
Do any dental work first, if possible. Your mouth should be
metal free and bacteria free (cavitations are cleaned). A
toxic mouth can put a heavy load on the liver, burdening
it immediately after cleansing. Eliminate that problem
first for best results.
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Olive Oil, Extra Virgin
1 big grapefruit (2 small)
4 tablespoons Epsom Salts
Choose a day like Saturday for the cleanse, since you will
be able to rest the next day. Do not take any medications,
vitamins or pills that you can do without; they could prevent
success. Also, stop the parasite program and kidney herbs the
day before.
Eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch such as cooked cereal with
fruit, fruit juice, bread and preserves or honey (no butter
or milk), baked potato or other vegetables with salt only.
This allows the bile to build up and develop pressure in the
liver. Higher pressure pushes out more stones.
2:00 p.m. Do not eat or drink after two. If you break this rule
you could feel quite ill later. Get your Epsom salts ready.
Mix 4 tablespoons in three cups water and pour this into a jar.
This makes four servings, 3/4 of a cup each. Set the jar in the
refrigerator to get it ice-cold (this is for convenience and
taste only).
6:00 p.m. Drink one serving (3/4 cup) of the ice-cold Epsom
salts. If you did not prepare this ahead of time, mix 1 tablespoon
in 3/4 cup water now. You may add 1/8 teaspoon vitamin C powder
to improve the taste. You may also drink a few mouthfuls of
water afterwards or rinse your mouth. Get the olive oil
(ozonated, if possible) and grapefruit out to warm up.
[Alternative Schedule 1 (from Dr Clark's The Cure For HIV and
AIDS, p.585): Omit the first Epsom Slats dose at 6 p.m. Take
only one dose, waiting till 8 p.m. Change nothing else. Many
people still get stones with one less dose. If you do not, do
the full course next time.]
8:00 p.m. Repeat by drinking another 3/4 of a cup of Epsom
salts. You haven't eaten since two o'clock, but you won't
feel hungry. Get your bedtime chores done. The timing is
critical for success.
9:45 p.m. Measure and pour 1/2 cup olive oil into the pint
jar. Add two drops HCl to sterilize. Wash grapefruit twice
in hot water and dry; squeeze by hand into the measuring cup.
Remove pulp with fork. You should have at least half a cup,
but more (up to 3/4 cup) is best. You may use part lemonade.
Add this to the olive oil. Also add black walnut tincture.
Close the jar tightly with the lid and shake hard until
watery (only fresh grapefruit juice does this).
Now visit the bathroom one or more time, even if
it makes you late for your 10:00 drink. Don't be
more than 15 minutes late. You will get fewer stones.
10:00 p.m. Drink the potion you have mixed. Take four
ornithine capsules with the first sips to make sure you
will sleep through the night. Take eight if you already
suffer from insomnia. Drinking through a large plastic
straw helps it go down easier. You may use oil and vinegar
salad dressing or straight honey to chase it down between
sips. Have these ready in a tablespoon on the kitchen
counter. Take it all to your bedside if you want, but
drink it standing up. Get it down within five minutes
(15 minutes for very elderly or weak persons).
Lie down immediately. You might fail to get stones out
if you don't. The sooner you lie down the more stones
you will get out. Be ready for bed ahead of time. Don't
clean up the kitchen. As soon as the drink is down, walk
to your bed and lie down flat on your back with your
head up high on the pillow. Try to think about what is
happening in the liver. Try to keep perfectly still for
at least 20 minutes. You may feel a train of stones
traveling along the bile ducts like marbles. There is
no pain because the bile duct valves are open (thank
you Epsom salts!) Go to sleep. You may fail to get
stones out if you don't.
Next morning. Upon awakening take your third dose of
Epsom salts. If you have indigestion or nausea wait
until it is gone before drinking the Epsom salts.
You may go back to bed. Don't take this potion
before 6 a.m.
2 hours later. Take your fourth (the last) dose of Epsom
salts. You may go back to bed again.
[Alternative Schedule 2 (from Dr Clark's The Cure For
HIV and AIDS, p.585): After taking the first dose of
Epsom salts in the morning, wait two hours and take a
second dose of the oil mixture (but only half a cup)
and go back to bed.]
After two more hours take another dose of Epsom salts.
This schedule can increase the number of stones you remove.
After two more hours you may eat. Start with fruit juice.
Half an hour later eat fruit. One hour later you may eat
regular food but keep it light. By supper you should feel
recovered.
How well did you do?
Expect diarrhea in the morning.
Use a flashlight to look for gallstones in the toilet with
the bowel movement.
Look for the green kind since this is proof that they are
genuine gallstones, not food residue. Only bile from the
liver is pea green. The bowel movement sinks, but gallstones
float because of the cholesterol inside.
Count them all roughly, whether tan or green. You will
need to total 2,000 stones before the liver is clean
enough to rid you of allergies or bursitis or upper back
pains permanently. The first cleanse may rid you of them
for a few days, but as the stones from the rear travel
forward, they give you the same symptoms again. You may
repeat cleanses at two-week intervals. Never cleanse when
you are ill.
Sometimes, the bile ducts are full of cholesterol crystals
that did not form into round stones. They appear as a "chaff,"
floating on top of the toilet bowl water. It may be tan
colored, harboring millions of tiny white crystals.
Cleansing this chaff is just as important as purging
the stones.
How safe is the liver cleanse? It is very safe. My opinion
is based on more than 500 cases, including many people in
their seventies and eighties. None went to the hospital;
none even reported pain. However it can make you feel quite
ill for one or two days afterwards, although in every one
of these cases the maintenance parasite program had been
neglected. This is why the instructions direct you to
complete the parasite and kidney rinse program first.
This procedure contradicts many modern medical viewpoints.
Gallstones are thought to be formed in the gallbladder,
not the liver. They are thought to be few, not thousands.
They are not linked to pains other than gallbladder attacks.
It is easy to understand why this is thought: By the time
you have acute pain attacks, some stones are in the
gallbladder, are big enough and sufficiently calcified
to see on X-rays, and have caused inflammation there.
When the gallbladder is removed the acute attacks are
gone, but the bursitis and other pains and digestive
problems remain.

The Liver Flush Protocol
The liver flush, in a simpler version, was first used
during the 1920’s as a means of improving liver function.
The procedure Inner Focus recommends is a refinement of
the original technique and serves several important
functions. First, the ortho-phosphoric acid helps remove
calcium and lipids (fats) from arteries, and normalizes
cholesterol metabolism. The phosphoric acid, working
with malic acid found in apple juice, also dissolves
and softens gallstones in the gallbladder. The magnesium
in the Epsom Salts relaxes the sphincter of the
gallbladder and bile ducts, allowing for easy passage
of the softened, shrunken stones. Finally, the cream
and the oil cause a strong contraction of the gallbladder
and liver, forcing out stored wastes, bile, and stones
which easily pass into the small intestine. These wastes
and stones are then excreted. We have found that the liver
flush is a simple way of removing gallstones without
surgery, while at the same time lowering cholesterol
levels and improving liver function.
Materials needed:
1 gallon of organic apple juice
2 ounces of ortho-phosphoric acid
(Phosfood from Standard Process or
Orthophos from Nutra-Dyn).
Cal Amo (Manufactured by Standard Process).
Epsom Salts
Whipping cream and berries
Olive oil
Bentonite liquid
1. Add one-half bottle (one ounce) of ortho-phosphoric
acid to the gallon of apple juice and shake. Over the
next three to five days, drink the full bottle of juice
(this usually breaks down to 3-4 full glasses a day, best
taken between meals). Be sure to rinse your mouth out
with baking soda or brush your teeth after drinking the
juice to prevent the acid from damaging the teeth. While
drinking the apple juice eat normally. Take your coffee
enemas as you normally would throughout the procedure.
2. On the last day of the procedure (the day you finish
the apple juice) take two capsules of Cal Amo immediately
before breakfast and two capsules of Cal Amo immediately
before lunch.
3. Two hours after lunch, take 1-2 tablespoons of Epson
Salts dissolved in a small amount of warm water. Add juice
to cover the taste, if desired.
4. Five hours after lunch, take 1 tablespoon of Epsom
Salts dissolved in warm water. Add juice if desired.
5. Six or seven hours after lunch, eat a dinner of heavy
whipping cream and fruit, as much as desired. Any fruit
is acceptable; most people generally prefer a mixture of
berries, either frozen or fresh. The mixture of fruit can
be blenderized to make a shake. With dinner, take one
Cal Amo.
6. One half hour before bedtime, drink 1/4 cup of
Bentonite liquid.
7. At bedtime, drink 1/2 cup olive oil. A small amount
of orange, grapefruit or lemon juice may be added if
desired. Immediately after finishing the oil, go to bed
and lie on the right side with knees drawn up for 30
minutes. You may feel nauseated during the night, due
to the release of stored toxins from the gallbladder
and liver. This is normal, and will pass. To us, it
is a good sign because it means the procedure is working.
8. On the next day, eat normal. Take two (2) Cal Amo with
breakfast, two (2) Cal Amo with lunch and one Cal Amo
with dinner.

One last thing...
This is a picture of a human liver fluke. I usually "zap"
with my Terminator II for a week before doing my liver
flushes, and because I like raw tuna and sushi, I have
liver flukes. This is what they look like, and when they
come out, they look like little pieces of tomato skin.
You could easily dismiss them if you do not know what to
look for. I have been successful in getting them out!

Hi Zoe,
In Clark's protocal, she states, "2:00 p.m. Do not eat or drink after two. If you break this rule
you could feel quite ill later."
Does this mean that no water amy be consumed after 2 pm?

No, its okay to drink water, and adviseable. If not you will get really dehydrated.
It also helps with your eliminations with the epsom salt too. If you ask on the liver forum they can tell you exactly when the cutoff time is for drinking water. My own liver flush file is on my other computer which is still in the 'puter hospital...ggg...
Have a great day!

I can recommend asking this in the liver flush forum if you need more info,
but my understanding is you can drink water right up to drinking the Olive Oil/Grapefruit juice potion. You need to stop drinking water 1/2 hour before
and after the Epsom Salt doses. It really helps to keep hydrated.
I wish you well~~!

- Have to try this! by tambee

I have been wanting to do this for a while now. For some reason I am nervous about it though. Is it painful? And how exactly do the stones come out? I see all these pictures people post of the stones in strainers. But, do you have to sort through your poo to find them or something?? I guess no one really clearly states how you find the stones.
Thanks!

Hi Tambee,
Ive been away from the cyber-highway so am just finding your note...I hope by this time you have summoned up more courage to investigate liver flushing!
It does seem intimidating but especially with the Liver flush forum here at Curezone, even the novice can feel comforted by the experience of hundreds of others who have gone before you.
The stones come out your bum. One time I read that someone thought we had to *cough* them up!! Of course, if that was the case, not even I would do that unless it was an emergency.
Yes, many people do strain their waste during the flush. AFTER they have taken the oliveoil/grapefruit juice mixture. Its fascinating and I have done it and shown those who live here my results. The result~~! Other people wanted to do it! It is helpful to motivate you, but not a necessary part. Your bowels, for the most part are cleaned out after the epsom salt so what comes out is mostly the stones and old bile.
Its not as gross as it seems since its YOUR stuff. If you have a child, its sort of like how it is easy to change your baby's diaper and nothing about it offends you. Likewise, your liver flush will give you a sense of accomplishment. That you have been able to lower your stone load and do it without surgery is a fine feeling.
In my past, doctors have treated a medical condition I had with many different pharmecuticals and so my liver and gallbladder did develop stones. This is why some people have many stones and others more like chaff. Ultimately, you will want to get your stone load down and then by adding good veggie oils like oil or flax or lecithan, you will only feel the need to do liver flushing occasionally as good body maintenance. The liver is one of the main filters of the body so just like one might change the air filter on their vehicle, our bodies function better if we keep our filters clean.
When I do strain out my stones, I use a mesh strainer and have a pitcher of water handy to rinse them. I then tap them onto paper towels I have readied in my bath tub for them to dry. I am not into keeping them or even counting them although the color and the size is a good indication of where they have come from, liver or gallbladder.
If your gallbladder is squeaking at you, its interesting to look to see if a bigger stone comes out and then you always feel good like, aha~! I have found the culprit!
Anyway, rest assured, this is a can-do cleanse and something which, thankfully, the forum here makes it especially comforting since there is so much support. Do not be afraid to ask questions even if you feel it is a silly question. Chances are its been heard before and there are folks willing to share their wisdom.
Good luck and blessings~~~
be happy, be well,
Zoe

I do have a queston. It says don't eat or drink after 2:00 on the day of the flush. Does that mean you can't have any water?? I hope somebody will reply to this soon as I am going to start my flush in a few hours. Thanks.

Hello,
I hope you asked at the Liver Flush forum so you
would have found out that drinking water after 2pm
is recommended and that it is necessary to only
refrain from drinking water 20 minutes before and
after your epsom salt drinks.
I hope your liver flush was successful~!
I am sorry I did not find your message soon enough

- Question about parasite/liver cleanse by crystalsfancy
17 y

Hi Zoe,
I used your blog as a soure of inspiration on my last cleanse. Only allowing myself to read 3 messages at a time so I'd have something to look forward to the next day. I was much more weak willed on the first one. This one however is different. I'm on the 7th day of my 2nd MC and I feel much stonger this time around. You helped me sooo much during my last one and I really appreciate you responding to question about my fever. Anyway, I have another question and was hoping for your advise. I am kinda embarassed that it's taking me this long to notice, but I wanted to do the liver cleanse after my MC and when I started reading up I realized I have to do a parasite cleanse first. Like I said before, I'm on my 7th day and I plan on quitting on my 10th. What should I do? Should I even bother with the liver cleanse now? Should I do a watermelon juice fast for 24hrs instead? Please advise.
Thanks again.

Hi Crystal~~
I am very happy for you that this cleanse is
so much easier for you. I have also found that
the cleanses, not just the MC, build on one
another and before you know it, you are doing
body maintenance, but there is no more of the
intense detox and die-off.
I would suggest you stick with your plan to
do your liver flush and then after your period
of integration, you might really want to do a
good parasite cleanse. Most of us have parasites
and the trouble is that the parasites are first
in line when it comes to nutrition and so they
tend to get the cream off the top. I do one
or two parasite cleanses each year, that is how
great it is to feel that I am evicting any
freeloaders. Also, it makes it easier for me to
have some fun playing in water and walking or
working barefoot, knowing I am on top of any
critters I may be picking up...
A watermelon juice fast would be a good designated
kidney flush, but the MC is also a good kidney
flush. I like to include watermelon juice in my
own *break* from MCing but if you feel you have
a real issue with your kidneys, you might consider
hitting it with something stronger like a kidney
tonic or herbs.
I am flattered that you used my blog as motivation.
Thank you for your kind words. I hoped it helped
you as much as it did me. I am gearing up for my
annual long cleanse and may have to make another
blog to keep myself motivated...ggg.
Best wishes for your continuing success~~!
blessings,
Zoe

Zoe,
Hello! I have been reading your blogs and they are very helpful and delightful to read. My girlfriend and I are currently on Day 3 of the Master Cleanse and we would like to finish with a liver cleanse. How would you suggest we do this? Instead of drinking the Orange Juice on the 11th day should we drink Apple Juice and do the liver cleanse that evening?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Db

Hello Db,
I apologize for not seeing this sooner, but if you were
going for a ten day MC, then there is still time to offer
some good advice.
Please wait. It will take about 2 weeks for you to come
back into balance and have your digestion started, a
good flow of bile going, and you will have fully broken
your fast. It is also important after breaking to add
plant-based oils into your diet. This will happen of
course after you have resumed eating but any good oil
such as hemp, flax, olive or coconut are good examples
of oils to use. 3-6 teaspoons a day to start is a good
idea. This really helps with the function of your gall
bladder especially. There are also good blends like Udo's
you can find in the refrigerated section of your health
food store.
The second week after your MC, you may wish to begin
to drink Organic unfiltered apple juice. A glass or two
a day will go far to help soften your stones. By the
time you are ready to flush, you will feel good about
it and have a better chance of success having waited
to prepare for it.
Do not forget to keep up your hydration. Very often
people stop a fast but it takes a while for your body
to catch up, since it is on its timing and not yours.
You may experience detoxing for a number of days after
you stop your ten day cleanse.
best wishes,
Zoe
