Have you had any valuable results for yourself using any of the eyedrops you have mentioned ?
Your post made me remember what an ophtalpmoloigist said during a lecture I attended several years ago, according to which as a scientist, he couldn't rely on something that worked once but wouldn't work other times...
Isn't it that examples you mentioned of experiences that did work somehow wouldn't successfully repeat themselves on the distance, and that therefore, that eyedrops (or other agents/methods) which had been used, were then abandoned ?
