Please believe me that getting silver fillings out is extremely important. You don't want toxic mercury leaking into your body every day of your life for the rest of your life.
I went with ceramic fillings. They have worked fine. I was concerned about composites, so I spent the extra money for what is likely the best choice of a lot of bad options.
It's possible for anybody to have a bad reaction to any filling material, but mercury is hands-down the worst of them all.
What we really need is to make fillings out of material which is the same or extremely similar to actual enamel. Maybe a scientist-type can figure out how to make that possible.
