I am new to this site, but I am getting desperate to get rid of this cyst. Apparently it is more common than I thought! Anyway, I have had a left bartholin gland cyst for months now, I can't even remember when I first noticed it. It seems to be about the size of a ping pong ball.
I had it lanced by my OBGYN in July and the catheter came out after four days! He told me i should leave it in for ten days, but from doing some research I have been seeing 4-6 weeks it should stay in at least. Mine definitely did not have time to drain properly. I absolutely do not want to have it lanced again..
That is a last resort.
I have read about the Bartholin Cyst Miracle Method book and also using calamine lotion, tea tree oil and witch hazel on a cotton ball.
Sitz baths are a pain because I run out of Epsom Salts so fast.
