Praziquantel Dosing Help

I self prescribed myself a round of praziquantel coupled with albendazole for treatment of possible liver flukes and/or tapeworms.

I was following the 2 week dosing instructions given by ICU on curezone, which is prazi for days 1-3 and 11-13, rest for a week, then repeat.
And Albenz. for the full 2 weeks, with one weeks rest, then repeat.

The problem is I wasnt able to get enough Prazi. So I was only able to take about a day and a half.

By the end of the second day I was feeling really good actually. I am now on the 4th day of Albenz, and experiencing some liver pain (though I am taking meds bc of undiagnosed liver problems, so liver pain is not uncommon). So I dont know if this pain is due to something dying, or if I was on my way to killing something, and the insufficient treatment is resulting in an incomplete kill, and they are re-attaching so to speak.

I ordered and have received the koi/pond prazi, but am hesitant to take it (as it is for pond fish!). Also even if I were to take it, I am unsure if I should take the last day and a half (that I missed) asap, or wait and use it for days 11-13 as recommended.

I feel very uncomfortable self treating, especially since I have liver problems to begin with and these meds are taxing on the liver, but if I can cure myself it is worth it.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.


Liver background in case youd like more info:
Severe liver pain that comes usually w an empty stomach. ALT AST goes up ~600's. Worst times I have a fever of 104. ALT AST usually resolve within a month or so. But I have bouts of intermittent pain and assume the numbers are a bit elevated during these episodes. I have general systemic swelling, and my liver feels enlarged, uncomfortable a lot of the time ( but I did feel relief the days taking prazi?!?). Lots of joint swelling/pain. I dont have Hep. viruses or autoimmune diseases. No Lupus. I have Lyme disease but liver involvement is never seen at this level. Im 27 yr old F. I am so scared for my body! Thanks for reading!

ps- I am also considering ordering Egaten from Dr. Chieu... if anyone has done so please tell me how this went. Would it be ok to ditch the rest of prazi treatment plan and just take egaten? Thank you! Tweet
