Fart breath/tonsil stones

Been suffering with BB for about 8 years. I think mine is an occasional thing. I can be hanging out with people usually pretty normal but every month or so I hear the "Who farted?" or "Did you just fart?" comments. What I'm wondering is if tonsil stones are the main culprit. I had looked for these a long time ago, but never saw any. One day last week on the way to work I coughed pretty hard. What do you know but one of those little stones ended up in my mouth. I squished it, and it smelled like crap. I've actually smelled people's breath that had the exact same smell. So when I got home from work I started digging at my tonsils with a toothbrush. BAM....more of the same smell, but I couldn't ever seem to get it all out. Seems my tonsils were deeper than my toothbrush could reach. Next day I bought a waterpik. That thing got in there pretty deep. Saw a few tiny stones go down the drain. Smashed a couple that I managed to catch and they all smelled bad. By the way, I do know someone who has this same odor most of the time. His breath can almost fill up a small room. I'm betting he has a lot of stones. I'm just wondering if my occasional BB was being caused by these stones either dislodging or oozing odor into my mouth??? Any opinions???
