Our "Enemies" Are Our True Benefactors!
The miracle for the "Onion" is to see others in a whole new light!

It is right to do so. Nevertheless, I believe it is to our enemies that we should erect the most beautiful monuments and statues... For they are our true benefactors, thanks to whom we are forced to become more vigilant, more intelligent, more patient and masters of ourselves."[1]
This has been so true for me here at the E.G.O.! And with this message from the Omraam community I just may begin to consider what kind of "monument" I can raise for everything that has been given here by "the most angry person" (and yet who earlier had "a heart of gold") that a fellow gardener "has ever known in their entire life"! All of which includes financial outlays of thousands of "dollars" in legal fees to proceed with a lawsuit against this "benefactor"! I think an honorary party celebration would be more fitting and a lot less expensive!

"...if you study the question closely, you will understand that, in certain circumstances, your enemies are actually your real friends. Since they are merciless, they will spare you nothing and emphasize everything that goes wrong. You might say, ‘Often they do exaggerate!’ Yes it is true, but that does not matter, for they act as microscopes, which are sometimes very necessary; every day scientists use microscopes, and this allows them to see details that would otherwise go unnoticed. ..."[4]

A particular counter-reference come to mind from a list I have that I wish to note here[5] regarding "distorted" thinking. It deserves to be reconsidered in light of the perspective of greater acceptance presented in the above.

I've added a link to the "list" referred to in the above post and so far it appears that the first "style" is one that I could "study the question (more) closely".

"Everything that exists on earth and in heaven can give you something good. But receiving it depends on you, for in order to receive you must be conscious and open up."[2]
I have no idea whether my previously mentioned "fellow gardener" is willing to "be conscious and open up" so that they can receive "something good" from "the most angry person" with "a heart of gold".

"Whatever the external circumstances, in our inner world - the world of thought - we can always feel free. ... We will never be able to achieve all the things we want, but we should not worry about this, because nothing prevents us from living a rich inner life, one that is beautiful, expansive and that benefits all creatures. Our thoughts and feelings reach out very far into space, and thanks to them we have the power to establish contact with the entire universe, while our actions affect only a few people. ..."[3]
The freedom that we can achieve in our "inner world" (or what I have called our inner life) can be extended into the "external circumstances" that we encounter in our daily life. This can be a foundation for having a "High Ideal" that can be supported by how we live our life. Without the integration between the inner life and the daily life it is not likely that we will have the kind of foundation that allows us to build our High Ideal. When people present what they may have of a High Ideal I can't help but consider to what extent their life is integrated.
