DNA & The I Ching
A confluence between physics and metaphysics.
Date: 3/11/2014 6:35:54 AM ( 10 y ) ... viewed 1432 times I have a copy of "The I Ching & The
Genetic Code" - The Hidden Key To Life by Dr. Martin Schonberger within reach on my bookshelf. It has been a while since I have been reading it but it does appear that I have read about 2/3 of it. Moments ago I found an article (excerpt below) that relates to this at a website I am being introduced to that is just my kind of site! It includes Human Design, an account of the Enlightenment Intensive, deep emotional work and a lot more! I found the site in my search for "emotional awareness"+"human design".
"... Recent studies on subatomic particles seem to reveal a similar seven-stage structure and change though it can not be precisely matched with the DNA or the hexagram sequences. Electrons which orbit the atomic nucleus have a seven-layer shell. If we count the initial one, it can be counted as eight-layer. Each layer can hold limited numbers of electrons. ... Atoms may join one or more other atoms to form the smallest stable particle of an element or compound, the molecule. This process takes place between electrons in each atom's outer shell. The number in the outer shell dictates whether an atom will donate electrons to another, share or seize them, and how tightly the two will bond; if the outer shell is filled, the atom is inert. This simple process of exchange of the positions of electrons in a definite number within seven layers constitutes the base of the periodical table that accounts for the structures and functioning of all elements in the known world.
Is it coincidental that the framers of the I-Ching sequence based on their macroscopic observation of nature, derived eight trigrams as the basis for projecting the whole world of change? In view of the fact that Murray Gell-Mann proposed to classify the particles according to Buddha's eightfold path, can it be outlandish if we see the structure of the eight trigrams as an ambitious primitive attempt to interpret the world of change within the general frame of reference in eight categories? It wouldn't be a surprise if the ancient Chinese, particularly during the Han time, had observed through the hatching of eggs the embryo process to acquire a vague idea of a seven stage development, in addition to the original one and thus inferred the eight trigrams. For embryology has revealed such a process."[1]

"Scientists believe that our DNA consists of two strands that form a double-helix configuration. They believe that the genetic codes within this double-helix contain everything we need to explain our existence. For a long time scientists thought that our DNA was stationary and could not be changed. They called more than 94% of our DNA 'Junk' DNA, because they had no idea what its purpose was.
Scientists now know that our DNA structures are shimmering, waveform configurations that are moment by moment being modified by Light, solar radiation, magnetic fields, sonic impulses, thought forms, emotions, and most profoundly—GAMMA-RAYS. What they do not realize yet is that originally we had 12 strands of DNA that functioned as a very elaborate communication system. This DNA system allowed us to maintain conscious awareness of all of the multidimensional and multifaceted aspects of ourselves. At that time, our DNA also allowed us to easily perceive the Immaculate Concept of our Divine Potential as Sons and Daughters of God. This is when we functioned in the full embrace of Christ Consciousness."[2]

Got inspired reading: "Dr. Martin Schönberger drew attention to the correlation between the 64 hexagrams and the nucleotide sequence and amino acid bases in the RNA/DNA molecule. Since then this association has appeared a number of times, from different sources. Tony Smith points out, that the genetic code, the I Ching, and the D4-D5-E6 physics model are all just different representations of the same fundamental structure."[4]
Reasserted this and found Tony Smith's site: "the genetic code, the I Ching, and the D4-D5-E6-E7 physics model are all just different representations of the same fundamental structure."[3]
Therefore the two most fundamental paths of knowledge - the mystical and the "scientific" both represent "the same fundamental structure".
