Upon reading the line quoted immediately above here this Blog-writer suddenly thought of the physiological correlations in the Human Design System and that they could be revisited from a German New Medicine perspective with regards to how the organs have specific brain relays that have been identified via CT scans of individuals with specific organ-based "diseases."

July 7, 2019 - Cardiologists Recognize Diabetes Risk
In a Medscape article titled “Cardiologists Must ‘Get Up To Speed’ on Treating Diabetes”, the doctors interviewed gave their drug company disclosures. Dr. Fonarow is a consultant for Abbott, Amgen, Bayer, Janssen, Medtronic, and Novartis. Dr. Ferdinand is a consultant for Amgen, Sanofi, Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Quantum Genomics. And Dr. Mancini disclosed relationships with Boehringer Ingelheim, Lilly, AstraZeneca, Novo Nordisk, Janssen/Johnson & Johnson.
So, dear critics of Big Pharma, what advice are these cardiologists going to give about preventing and treating diabetes in their at-risk cardiac population? Did I hear you all shout at the top of your lungs? “Lots of Tests and Lots of Drugs.” Yup, unfortunately, that’s the state of Big Medicine today.
Never once do they acknowledge that the highest amount of magnesium in the body is found in the heart; or that magnesium deficiency is a sign of diabetes; or that the drugs prescribed for heart disease can cause diabetes and high cholesterol. These storm troopers of disease will vigorously treat their patients with more and more drugs in a seriously misguided attempt to keep them well.
Here’s what Fonarow says “A paradigm shift is needed to ensure that all clinicians involved in the care of patients with diabetes provide patients with optimal, evidence-based, guideline-directed care.” And “The use of other cardioprotective therapies, particularly SGLT-2 inhibitors, should be readily prescribed by cardiologists for their patients with diabetes.”
Ferdinand emphasized the need for cardiologists to familiarize themselves with novel drug indications and potential side effects to prescribe the newer diabetes medications more consistently. Ferdinand pointed out that up to 50% of patients with diabetes may develop heart failure.
Potential side effects of the new diabetic drugs, SGLT-2 inhibitors, that Fonarow wants to “readily prescribe” include: kidney failure, hyperkalemia (high levels of potassium), hypotension, ketoacidosis, increased cholesterol, serious urinary tract infections, increased risk of bladder cancer risk, serious allergic reactions. I found 50 side effects listed in an article along with a note that said “This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur.” Years ago I studied drug side effects and the average number per drug was about 150. Since then it’s become difficult to uncover these long lists of side effects; they are obscured and minimized.
The most horrifying side effect of the SGLT-2 inhibitors is genital gangrene! I wondered how in the name of creation that could occur. The kidneys are supposed to stop glucose from escaping – and likely for a good reason. The SGLT-2 inhibitors block that reabsorption and allow glucose free reign in the kidneys and bladder as it’s being eliminated in the urine. That excess sugar not only feeds yeast because yeast infections are rampant but it also seems to be feeding flesh eating bacteria and the closest flesh to eat is in the perineum around the vagina and penis! Did I mention HORRIFYING.
Another doctor bragged that “the way to increase the use of these drugs is by educating cardiologists.” He said “The SGLT-2 inhibitors are almost equivalent in horsepower for cardiovascular event reduction as statins, and cardiologists use statins all the time.” And look how well that worked out for patients! Not!
More and more doctors and researchers agree that cholesterol isn’t even the cause of heart disease – it’s calcium. And in my opinion it’s calcium because we don’t give patients enough magnesium or the proper magnesium.
Unfortunately doctors don’t give people choices – because all they know is drugs. They are comparing apples to apples not apples to oranges. Not only that but they offer rotten apples with lots of side effects. My recommendation is for fresh, organic oranges in the form of my Completement Formulas to support the structure and function of the whole body. Part of the reason why is what happens on a cellular level.
"Mineral salts -
The four most abundant cations in the body are sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium from which phosphorus cannot be disassociated.
Sodium is the monovalent cation characteristic of extracellular fluid (ECF) and, conversely, potassium is that of intracellular fluid (ICF).
The composition of salts present in the ICF greatly differs from that of ECF but directly depends on the composition of the latter. Their relations are ensured by the ion pumps of the cell membrane."[2]

January 4, 2019 - Dr. Carolyn Dean "... drug companies and medicine are Marketing Us To Death." -
"...For my educational outreach about the effects of magnesium deficiency on the heart, I received 'The Arrhythmia Alliance Outstanding Medical Contribution to Cardiac Rhythm Management Services Award 2012' at The Heart Rhythm Congress organized by the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS).
My advice? Just as I say about genetic testing that reveals your top 100 gene mutations that can lead to early death, be very skeptical of Too Much Information where the data is being funneled directly into drug and surgical solutions without even a nod to alternatives or the crucial building blocks of the body. Be aware that the drug companies and medicine are Marketing Us To Death."[13]

November 22, 2018 - What Rudolf Steiner Said -
"... Here's how Steiner describes the circulation of the blood without using the popular metaphor of the heart as a pump:
... 'The circulating blood is a living entity — as can be proved by embryology — and the blood, moved by it own inner force, sets the heart in action. The heart is the instrument by means of which the blood-activity expresses itself and integrates itself into the whole life of the human being. The activity of the heart is a consequence of the blood-activity and not vice-versa. In the same way — as has been set out in detail in my lectures for doctors — it can be shown, in regard to each organ of the body, how the realization that man is a spiritual being explains the working of his material organism. Thus we can, in a way, make real that which appeared dimly, in more or less abstract form, in Thomism, when it said: "The spiritual-psychic permeates the whole physical body." That now becomes knowledge of real concrete fact.'"[12] - A Book Review by Bobby Matherne ©2003
---
Comment: The Steiner quote (immediately above here) finally now gives me - for the very first time - a whole picture: spirit-man-body-blood and it is within this context where the function that the heart plays can be seen as part of "the circulating blood (a)s a living entity".
--
Also from Bobby - "Footnote 1.
October 22, 2013 Update: I received a link to this enlightening article which says, among other things,
In 1932, Bremer of Harvard filmed the blood in the very early embryo circulating in self-propelled mode in spiraling streams before the heart was functioning. Amazingly, he was so impressed with the spiraling nature of the blood flow pattern that he failed to realize that the phenomena before him had demolished the pressure propulsion principle. Earlier in 1920, Steiner, of the Goetheanum in Switzerland had pointed out in lectures to medical doctors that the heart was not a pump forcing inert blood to move with pressure but that the blood was propelled with its own biological momentum, as can be seen in the embryo, and boosts itself with 'induced' momenta from the heart. He also stated that the pressure does not cause the blood to circulate but is caused by interrupting the circulation. Experimental corroboration of Steiner's concepts in the embryo and adult is herein presented."[12]

February 14th, 2017 - Dr. Tom Cowan on "The Heart Revolution" -
Tom has also reviewed two books. The first is: "The Heart And Circulation, An Integrative Model, By Dr. Branko Furst". Tom says: "DR. FURST’S MODEL OF THE CIRCULATION IS AMAZING IN ITS BREADTH AND CLARITY AND IS ENDORSED BY THE TWO CHIEFS OF CARDIAC ANESTHESIA AT HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL."
Also in "The Heart: Pressure-Propulsion Pump or Organ of Impedance?" by Dr. Furst he states the purpose of the article to "propose the conceptual framework for a new, more complete understanding of the circulatory phenomena".[5]
The second book is: "How Statin Drugs Really Lower Cholesterol And Kill You One Cell At A Time". Tom identifies two points made in this book.:
The first point is that "Doctors who prescribe statin drugs are not decreasing cholesterol production, as almost all of them imagine; they are, instead, shifting the cholesterol/LDL from the blood to the cells of the tissues".
Second point: "... statin drugs interfere with the production of critical biosynthetic substances, the most well known of which is CoQ10."
Tom concludes his blog post with: "AS WITH MANY THINGS IN MEDICINE, THIS BOOK TELLS A SAD TALE OF SCIENTIFIC FRAUD, GREED AND MANIPULATION FOR PROFIT. IF YOU’RE SEEKING ONE BOOK TO EDUCATE YOU ON THESE PROFOUNDLY TOXIC DRUGS, THIS COULD BE THE ONE."[6]

November 1, 2017 - Heart Disease -
"People who have been newly diagnosed with heart disease are told to lay off the cholesterol-laden sandwiches and steer clear of full-fat dairy items loaded with saturated fat. But new research shows this advice may be misguided. A decade-long study that reviewed cardiovascular disease research extending over more than 70 years found low magnesium levels contributed more to heart disease than did cholesterol or even saturated fat.
In fact, for many years research has shown magnesium deficiency to be strongly related to all aspects of heart disease, including arrhythmias, irregular heartbeats, angina, ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, coronary heart disease and the risk factors for heart disease such as hypertension and high cholesterol.
Andrea Rosanoff, one of the magnesium's most aggressive researchers, shares her findings from much of her research and brings much awareness about magnesium deficiency to the table. Her work shows that common risk factors for cardiovascular disease such as high LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol, high blood pressure, and metabolic syndrome are all associated with low nutritional magnesium status or low magnesium dietary intakes. Also that there are many peer-reviewed studies that show correcting or preventing a nutritional magnesium deficit can and will correct or prevent cardiovascular disease events, including death."[1]
Magnesium remember (see "Mineral salts" at the top of this blog) is one of "the four most abundant cations in the body". This underscores chemistry as a supporting "determinant" in heart health but not exclusive of psycho-emotional influences.

November 25, 2017 - Continuing -
"Aging in our industrialized society is associated with high blood pressure, heart disease, reduced insulin sensitivity and Type 2 diabetes, among other degenerative diseases. Most of us don’t know that aging is also associated with an imbalance in the levels of calcium and magnesium and dozens of other minerals almost identical with those found in people with heart disease and diabetes. Clinical studies thoroughly document the fact that people with insulin resistance (a characteristic of Type 2 diabetes) have too much calcium and too little magnesium in their cells. Interestingly, these same effects are seen as the results of 'normal' aging. That fact suggests that the disturbance of calcium and magnesium ions in the cells might be the missing link for the multiple diseases associated with aging. Other clinical research shows magnesium deficiency may increase our susceptibility to heart disease and accelerate the debility of aging."[7]

February 19, 2018 - Magnesium Prevents Cardiac Arrest - by Dr. Carolyn Dean -
"...You may think cardiac arrest is just another name for a heart attack, but it’s not – it’s worse. A heart attack may come on relatively slowly and occurs when blood flow to the heart is blocked. Sudden cardiac arrest occurs when the heart malfunctions and suddenly stops beating when its electrical activity is knocked out of rhythm. A heart attack is a 'circulation' problem and sudden cardiac arrest is an 'electrical' problem.
In cardiac arrest, CPR or cardioversion with a defibrillator can buy critical time if it’s started immediately. Each year, less than 3 percent of the U.S. population receives training in CPR or defibrillator use, while some European countries mandate training. I learned CPR in my medical training and I think it’s wise for everyone to learn it, given the high probability of someone experiencing cardiac arrest in your close proximity.
... The commitment of the medical establishment to try and keep people alive after cardiac arrest death, instead of preventing it from occurring, is seen in the enormous internet presence of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation. Their stated mission is to prevent death and disability from sudden cardiac arrest; to increase awareness about sudden cardiac arrest and influence attitudinal and behavioral changes that will reduce mortality and morbidity from SCA.
The SCAF wants more people to survive cardiac arrest. I want more people to have a mineral-balanced heart so that its electrical conductivity never fails! ..."

March 14, 2019 - Continuing With Carolyn Dean - Minerals -
Although the following from Dr. Dean does not directly mention the heart I find it relates to the content above that speaks specifically on the vital part minerals play in the body and blood's ability to circulate via cellular pumping.
Dr. Carolyn Dean - Ever have those days when your timing seems off, or you just seem "out of it"? It's possible that your brain could be experiencing electrolyte deficiency.
Electrolytes are ionic conductors of electrical current in the body. Without enough of the right electrolytes, your brain cannot initiate the electrical impulses your nerve cells require for proper communication. This deficiency can can cause you to feel off your game or can manifest as the infamous brain fog.
ReMyte® will balance the electrolytes in your system. It goes far beyond most electrolyte solutions by providing one dozen minerals in the unique picometer size that allows for complete absorption at the cellular level. Thus the potency of the minerals can be very low, eliminating any possibility of toxicity, yet when 100% absorbed at the cellular level, these minerals are highly effective.
Here is a customer who noticed significant improvement in brain function as a result of taking highly-absorbed ReMyte.
=====
I have substantial nutritional deficiencies and so I may be more sensitive than most, but I could feel this product the very first day I took it. My brain function, sense of presence in the world, my personal energy and therefore my outlook has improved significantly and I am so grateful.
I feel like I've regained parts of my old self where life seems crisper and more vivid. I've used other doctor-brand trace minerals and multi minerals and have never experienced anything like this. It's easier for me to drive a car, which may sound strange but when your brain works better everything is better.
