Occupy Wall Street being smeared
Occupy Wall Street's credibility is not damaged by the fact that a crime occurred at a protest site.

A crime may have occurred at a Occupy protest site, but that has nothing to do with the protest's message.
Specifically, there is the story about an alleged rape at one of the 1000s of Occupy protest sites. Such a crime is not in any way part of the protest philosophy, but the corporate humps are using it to try to discredit the entire protests.
It is exactly that attitude that gives the movement steam. It angers us to the core, it is all BS and we have had enough.
My condolences to the rape victim [if it is true, we don't know either way yet], but we are not even sure that the rapist was a real protestor or if he was just using the gathering as an opportunity - it would be very typical of the way a predator works.
For all any of us knows, the rapist could be planted, hired to do that dirty deed by the bankers and corporate minions who are desperately trying to discredit the movement that wants to make the bankers and corporations accountable for what they do.
It is so incredibly small minded of anyone to use that purported rape to discredit the Occupy movement.
Please listen to our message, you and I are the 99%.
