The subject matter of "hope" organically arose in conversation with a housemate a couple weeks ago that inspired this blog-writer to make note of. At that time his recognition was a convergence of three perspectives.
1.) The American people have looked to government with "hope" of a better future and the administrations have capitalized on this with outward smoke and mirrors and the people have continued to "fall for it"!
2.) Young people especially appear to either have or not have hope of a better future. (This writer feels a spacial calling in regards to the hope of the youth.)
3,) The "hope" that people have needs to be recognized, acknowledged and made all the more conscious and thereby more fully owned rather than projecting it upon others. In other words hope needs to be made alive in the present. Just hoping for a better future is now proven to be a life-less and disempowering act.
"...the ones walking towards death are those who behave in a superficial, careless way while continuing to hope for a better future."[2]

This article's author: Joseph Sobran said: "More clearly than even Huxley and Orwell, Lewis saw that politics without morality could only end in tyranny."
Has anyone seen signs of this morality (that Lewis wrote on) that poli-tics have infested into American government?
