I WORKED ON SOME EDITS FOR THE STORY
I have been holding a vision for decades of a future called the Enchanted Garden Era. Many Sacred Seeds--by that I mean you--are so aligned with the other Sacred Seeds of the Earth--by that I mean the diverse Heirloom Seeds that hold the pure food memory of diverse cultures-- that we can grow out a next generation of Youth that is more healthy than the last.
The Enchanted Garden Era is an era of 1000 years of peace, born out of Winning Back Our Sacred Seeds. This begins with Youth and many of us regaining our dreams.
For more than two years now, I have been carrying around Pizza Boxes from the Campaign to Grow A Healthier Pizza. I tape the inspirations on decorated Pizza Box cardboard slabs that are in the Pizza Box.
The idea for Growing A Healthy Pizza was inspired in 2011 when the Moneybags in Washington and Gov got together through Congress to say that two ounces of Tomato Sauce defined Pizza as a Vegetable. Around the same time, working with Prop 37 to Label GMOs in California, I received a packet of Non GMO San Marzano Tomato seeds that are used for tomato sauce. I was already starting to grow Kamut® ancient Khorasan wheat and saw it being used to improve the quality of Pizza.
The Campaign to Grow A Healthier Pizza is as much a metaphor as it is about literally growing healthier pizza with organic toppings and heirloom seeds and grains.
The Campaign is a rally call to inspire more gardeners doing the very special kind of gardening where we enter a Sacred Relationship with plants. It is a call to recognize that many of the deepest dreams of humanity--dreams that need to be growing, are trapped inside a metaphoric Pizza Boxes.
One Pizza Box slab shows the enormous varieties of Baker Creek Heirloom Corn, Tomatoes, and Beets that are also trapped inside the Pizza Box. These varieties represent the multi-cultural history of Biodiversity. These are heirloom seeds--original open pollinated seeds true to their nature that are now being threatenedby the intrusion of Biotechnology into agriculture. GMO Seeds contaminate Heirloom Seeds.
The National Heirloom Expo, an annual event held each year in Santa Rosa, CA, is a convergence of those who aspire to live in the kind of relationship to earth that nature had in mind. It is a gathering of Real Food Seed Freedom enthusiasts.
D.H. Lawrence, in Studies in Classical American Literature, said, "This is the true myth of America. She starts old, old, wrinkled and writhing in an old skin. And there is a gradual sloughing off of the old skin, towards a new youth. It is the myth of America."

The second day of the National Heirloom Expo brings busloads of school age youth. I talked about Growing A Healthier Pizza. We did an activity with Pizza Boxes. I gave away Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds a gift from the Expo organizer. The show is called the World’s Fair of Pure food.
A focus of the Expo is to encourage school gardens.

Those who attend, and those who are reading this article, and asked to get Engaged in bringing in a headline that will one day read Uncle Sam Marries "Anti" (Auntie) GMO. The invitation to the wedding was sent out to you on the day your mother and father conceived you as a Sacred seed. We are by nature expert seed growers. It is in our genes, but somehow, we lost our birthright to grow some of our food and see the importance of this.
The earth deeply needs you to Take Your Sacred Seed out of the Pizza Box and Plant Your Dream! Special interests with the Moneybags have Uncle Sam with his hands tied. The Moneybags are taking up too much room in the One Pot called Earth where we all grow. Please help Outgrow GMOs and free Uncle Sam. There is a wedding up ahead if the United States is to regain its foothold on the original vision of our nation. The original vision included being a nation of gardeners and farmers. We have strayed far. We can regain our foothold and "Outgrow GMOs" through more of us regaining the know how to grow our own food.
THE ORIGINAL VISION OF AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL
Our first Presidents had deep relationships with nature.
Andrea Wulf took up the theme in a paper and her book “Founding Gardeners.” She says " it’s impossible to understand the making of America without looking at the founding fathers as farmers and gardeners."
It is for each of us to become eminent gardeners as well--eminent in our own lives because we are living our dreams.

WHERE OUR GOVERNMENT IS NOW
Government appears to listen to the "Moneybags" who benefit most from seeds and foods that are standardized for commercial gain. The definition of Food Safety for many is making Food Safe for those with the "Moneybags." My dream is that Washington will come around to seeing that GMOs in our food supply are not good for us as a nation. GMO proliferation is a symptom of our estrangement from nature and not knowing the nature of our soul.
Uncle Sam, initials U.S., is the personification of our Government. The US Government is currently in the farm bed with Biotechnology. Uncle Sam is committed to a path of Technology that is served best by having people’s dreams stuck in symbolic Pizza Boxes. We are the equivalent of a piece of pizza in a box, feeding appetites with food and buying into a system that has no foundation in nature and little technology that can compare to Nature’s Original Technology. Nature's Original Technology represents a marriage of Soul and nature, encourages individual dreams and brings the best out of each person. Each person's task is to take our Sacred Seeds out of the symbolic Pizza Box and Plant your Dream.

I am in favor of Labeling GMOs and having the Right to Know what is in our food. I feel that the Right to Know and the Know how to grow our own food go hand in hand. I see it as inevitable that we will Label GMOs, but will we end up closer to “Outgrowing GMOs?”
Growing food is not just about about growing food. It is about shifting consciousness When you grow food you enter Plant Parenthood. As we parent plants, they help reparent us–realigning our soul-nature connection.
I believe a shift in consciousness is being asked of us as individuals. Food reform will come as we return to becoming a nation of eminent small gardeners who have shifted our own consciousness and healed our estrangement from nature.
I see a grassroots movement, made up of individuals living their dreams as a pre-requisite to influencing the consciousness of Washington. A marriage is needed that begins with us, inside us. I am speaking of a marriage between the soul--our essence-- and nature. Because there would be so many of us in touch with the beat of nature we would eventually create a groundswell that would touch Washington.

More and more people are becoming Engaged in the fight against GMOs. We are marching. The Non-GMO Verification process and consumer demand are causing more and more companies to produce products without GMO's, but there is still something deeper that is being asked by nature. What is missing is inspiring an essential nature soul connection.
I am concerned that after the battle--the thousands and thousands of hours we are spending, we will still face the task at hand, recognizing that for an essential shift in the direction of our nation, we are being asked to return to nature's original technology.
Sometimes, I have this vision, of the plants waiting on the sidelines of life, trapped as well in boxes and packages. They have so much to give if we slow down and simple cultivate the garden that will grow out as we plant our heirloom seeds and ancient grains.
THE SACRED SEED PRAYER
Many people have caught wind of the power of intention, fewer the power of connecting our intentions with the growth of plants. As the Seed grows, and you tend the plant and the dream, you will be reminded how dreams grow naturally.
My inspiration is that we become engaged in growing some of our own food. The very act of experiencing seeds, growing into plants, and then going to seed awakens us, and has the potential to bring our soul present.

Every time an heirloom seed is planted with intention we come one organic step closer to restoring the dream of America the beautiful, and Cultivating Grassroots movement inside us. Cultivators of A Grassroots Movement are Needed to Outgrow GMOs
I am convinced that the task at hand then is to re-establish the connection between the soul and nature. It is the literal act of becoming familiar with seeds and how they grow, that can inspire our own soul growth and renew the spirit of our nation.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said that " So much of nature as he is ignorant of, so much of his own mind does he not yet possess. And, in fine, the ancient precept, "Know thyself," and the modern precept, "Study nature," become at last one maxim.

A GRASS ROOTS MOVEMENT REQUIRES CULTIVATION
GMOs are a symptom of a disconnection, a loss of soul connected to nature. My hope is that the connection will be made that true cultivation of our Grassroots movement begins with growing Heirloom Seeds. It is here where the roots of our grassroots movement will become grounded.
The kind of grassroots movement we need to outgrow GMOs will benefit from a gardening tool in hand. The invitation to the wedding goes out to all who grow Heirloom Seeds. Growing some ancient grain of wheat is also a good place to begin.
Kamut® organic grain grows and splendid grass to awaken our soul life and our dreams.
