My friend is dying.

He needs a new liver and has a tumor on his spine that has to be removed or he'll be paralyzed. In fact, the surgery itself is so difficult that if there's the tiniest slip-up, he'll be paralyzed right then and there.
He's been in bad health for years. Health was never something he thought much about. Ate what he wanted, never excerised, took modern medicine... He had half his colon removed years ago, has had cancer, and now tumors on the spine and a failing liver. He was also diagnosed with diabetes a few years back.
He can't be on a transplant list because of the tumors, previous cancer and diabetes. They tried but he was turned down.
I'm learning through this, and hopefully so many more as well. I'm praying for a miracle, I know this is not in vain. I know this body, this gift of life is mine to cherish and take care of. I pray that my dear friend will get a second chance to realize the same.
