This is probably not the best example, but several times I have seen what looked like teeth on the flukes in me. I don't recall them having actual teeth, am I just remembering wrong? Would not be surprising lately. Also, has anyone heard of or seen a defense response in flukes? The ones I have most definitely have one, as well as the equipment to make it quite effective. If you aren't already familiar with it, you may not be able to see it in the last of these carpet pictures, but it's clearer in a pic I will upload soon. When I am trying to remove one that is too front and center in my nose, the one under attack will tighten it's skin until it seems like a brick wall. At the same time, it seems to puff up or expand, and the skin gets jagged points along it. When these are pressed up against the inside of your nose, or the muscle/nerve running up to your eye, it is most painful and a very good defense. But I've been told they don't have the opportunity to learn any defense mechanisms because of being in hosts. I disagree. Anyone?
