So, I’ve had my hearing checked and there is some loss which I can only attribute to listening to really, really loud music during my teenage and young adult years. Sitting in front of monitors and amplifiers does, indeed, have its consequences. In Nov 2013 while inside my house one day I started hearing a noise that sounded like a lawn mower motor running just outside. But upon opening the window there was no lawn mower apparent and the noise seemed to disappear or wasn’t distinquishable from the normal daytime outdoor noise. Just about the only times I’ve ever seen that symbol combination was in search FINDINGS (when I went to that particular website, I almost never saw anything out of place or ANY symbols at all). Sometimes I see a webpage with text that overlays another paragraph and simply can’t be read fully, so the ”ae euro” sign might be that someone tweaked their computer with a specialized word processor or language/graphic set. Thanks BTDT, I believe that title was copied from a CNN article, which had a link in the body to the original. I didn’t use any ASCII code....but it is interesting that if you will look at your typing of the word ASCII and mine....they look different. I even tried to copy yours and it did not copy the same. Years ago, I wrote a post here at CZ and used the ”ampersand” (&) in the body of the post AND once in the title of the post. When the symbol was used in the TITLE of the post, it would automatically be changed after posting to ”&andampersand” (as far as I remember), but it didn’t change in the body/text of the post. It turns out that the ampersand symbol is part of ASCII code. The original ASCII code is obsolete and now the EXTENDED ASCII is used. That very well could be so 136232. I have heard the hum of transformers and street lights in the still hours many times as well....but normally one can track down the source of that hum if they try. I have a backyard project I would like started.....I wonder how much they rent by the hour?
