Frugivore, are these excerpts you have posted from G.B. Booth's writings, or just a synopsis? Please explain. I understand the part about an alkaline diet helping to stop alcoholism, but I'm not sure I understand how the rest of the items you listed are connected with alcoholism.

The last entry in your list, the "worms", does make a lot of sense to me, since I found out that when taking an anti- parasite mixture of herbs (that's supposed to kill any and all kinds of worms that inhabit the human body), I was able to stay sober. But I'd be really curious to know the mechanism by which parasites (worms) can lead or contribute to alcoholism.
