Re: Question...

A fluid ounce of aqueous solution is about 30 milliliters, and weighs about 30 grams.

If 30 ml of a solution contains 4% potassium Iodide and 2% iodine, that means that there is about 1.5 grams of total Iodine in 30 ml. Two ounces would contain about 3 grams total of iodine.

If 30 ml of a solution contains 10% potassium Iodide and 5% iodine, that means that there is about 4.5 grams of total Iodine in 30 ml. One ounce would contain about 4.5 grams of iodine.

The going market for Iodine is around $ 60 per pound, or about $ 0.13 per gram.
