I have a dear friend who suffers chronic ME. Coincidentally I read an article in one of our papers here in UK about a study being done.

"The debilitating condition ME may be linked to stomach viruses, experts said yesterday. A study of 165 Myalgic Encephalitis sufferers found 80 per cent had particles of the viruses. Symptoms of ME - once called "yuppie flu" include exhaustion and aches. There are about 150,000 sufferers in the UK. Experts said in the UK's Journal of Clinical Pathology that the find "opens up a new direction" for research".

It's about time.
