Re: Police State coming to a town near you
intervening can mean voicing ones opinion and disapproval...that is not
brain dead to me...
I heard a girl screaming ,that is about it,but at least she got in the cops face.
Otherwise, people were laughing and clapping.
Yes , they would have government behind them, yet if anyone would have stood up many more would stand...but I guess there is always that huge risk and piercing fear that somebody might get in trouble...uh boy.
Too many people want to be wall flowers. Watch it, read about it, talk about it , debate about it. Bitch and moan about it. Then let it happen again and start the cycle all over until incidents like this are common place and become non issues.
Obviously that time is closing in!
Though, it's not easy to be otherwise given U.S. history...fear.
At least that's how I see it...I've stood up many times when no one else would...
I have scars from defending people, whether it's against the police, an abusive husband, or a racist biker gang, I'm not one to just sit and watch and will probably die for a cause. I have fears as well, just not afraid of them.
I'm not sure exactly the circumstances, though given the tapes shown, the victim
didn't seem too 'menacing'. With all the paranoia in the U.S. the police need to retrain and apply differnt approaches...protect and serve...?
Cops are trained to be in control...that's a good one! in control of what?
Their triggers? Definitely not their tact in this case. Unless the victim was a disciple of Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris or Kwai Chang freaking Caine, that was truly an example of police brutality. How many 'control' trained cops held him down while he was taZed? How many 'control' expert's couldn't/wouldn't subdue a medium build average Joe? I think they love to use tasers every chance they get...for the rush,
power, sadism. Kind of like training for the military...after boot camp they want to see action. I venture to say not 'too many' true peace lovers join the army.
Police like that LOVE a confrontation. They need to be trained to control themselves and keep order not make things worse. Shows the low mentality of
the police on duty that day. Very low indeed. Pure power trip...they don't have
the IQ to reason with any other means than shear force.
I was ready to close then thought...if cops/miltary are trained to 'control' like that and attack a person mearly for voicing an opinion and asking questions they didn't like, and if people just sit quiet and observe passively, I really wonder if the U.S. is even capable of peace, or really wants it, or maybe a popular version of peace is living in a cage with 3 squares a day...fat and happy with a remote.
Just what does it take to outrage an American to action?
Pre-empt NFL?
Close McDonalds early?
Make red lights longer?
